The gateway location register can determine which mobile subscribers are associated with the home location register by comparing mobile subscriber identification information stored in the gateway location register with information contained in the reset message from the home location register.

    摘要: A gateway location register (GLR) can restore data by sending a reset message to all of the visitor location registers (VLR) associated with the GLR. Alternatively, the data in the GLR can be restored when a request for a roaming number is sent to the GLR from a home location register (HLR). In any case the location information is restored from the VLR and the subscriber profile from the HLR. If the GLR has a backup memory, the GLR can forward a request for a roaming number to a VLR which is indicated by the backup memory as serving the mobile subscriber associated with the roaming number request received from the HLR. If the information contained in the backup memory is incorrect, the GLR can send a request to restore data to all VLRs associated with the GLR. Further, the GLR, upon receipt of a roaming number request for a subscriber whose serving VLR is unknown, the GLR can send an error indication to the HLR and wait for a location update from a serving VLR. In addition, if the backup data is incorrect or non-existent, the GLR can send a request for a roaming number to all its associated VLRs which have not yet received the request.

    摘要: In transmission of paging information from a mobile network to a terminal device (200), the terminal device applies a discontinuous reception cycle to enter a sleep mode. Further, the terminal device determines an advance wakeup time (AW) for leaving the sleep mode. The advance wakeup time (AW) is advanced by an advancement time interval (ΔA) with respect to a start of an active time of the discontinuous reception cycle. At the determined advance wakeup time (AW), the terminal device leaves the sleep mode and starts monitoring the downlink control channel with respect to paging configuration information transmitted by the mobile network. The paging configuration information defines a paging occasion for transmission of the paging information. On the basis of the paging configuration information, the terminal device monitors the paging occasion to receive the paging information from the mobile network.

    摘要: In data transmission between a mobile network and a terminal device an uplink control channel resource is allocated to the terminal device and to at least one further terminal device. Further, a shared identifier is assigned to both the terminal device and the at least one further terminal device. Using the allocated uplink control channel resource, the mobile network receives a scheduling request from the terminal device. In response to receiving the scheduling request, the mobile network sends an uplink grant. The uplink grant is addressed by the shared identifier to the terminal device and to the at least one further terminal device. Further, the mobile network receives uplink data from the terminal device, which is accomplished on uplink resources indicated by the uplink grant.

    摘要: The present invention relates to methods and arrangements for introducing an automatic one-time configuration of the DNS server(s) when a base station gateway, such as an HeNB GW, is deployed, such that the FQDN-to-HeNB GW IP address translation data is proactively configured. This is performed to identify the base station gateway address to which subsequently deployed base stations will be connected. That is, the FQDN-to-HeNB GW IP address translation data for the HeNB IDs of all the HeNBs that may potentially connect to the HeNB GW is proactively configured in the DNS server(s), thereby avoiding frequent and constantly ongoing DNS configuration during normal network operation. This configuration of the DNS allows the eNB to obtain the destination address for an X2 connection without knowing about an eventual HeNB GW, nor the addressing details, such as size/length (or fixed number of bits) of the HeNB GW ID.
