    摘要: There is described an inspection system (10) for inspecting the quality of printed sheets which are transported by a sheet conveyor system comprising at least one sheet gripper system (3a, 3b) including a plurality of spaced-apart gripper bars (32) for holding the printed sheets by a leading edge thereof. The inspection system (10) comprises an optical quality control apparatus for carrying out inspection of a first side of the printed sheets while the printed sheets are being transported by the sheet gripper system (3b). The optical quality control apparatus includes a line camera (11) for scanning the first side of the printed sheets at an inspection location which is situated at a location proximate to a portion of the sheet gripper system (3b) where the gripper bars (32) transporting the printed sheets undergo a change of direction of displacement while the printed sheets are still being scanned by the line camera (11). The inspection system (10) further comprises a suction roller (50) that is placed in front of the optical path (B) of the line camera (11) along the path (A) of the printed sheets being transported by the sheet gripper system (3b), which suction roller (50) contacts a second side of the printed sheets opposite to the first side which is being scanned by the line camera (11), the suction roller (50) being driven at a selected circumferential speed to drive successive portions of the printed sheets being inspected by the quality control apparatus at a determined and controlled speed past the line camera (11).

    摘要: There is described an inspection system (10) for inspecting the quality of printed sheets which are transported by a sheet conveyor system comprising at least one sheet gripper system (3a, 3b) including a plurality of spaced-apart gripper bars (32) for holding the printed sheets by a leading edge thereof. The inspection system (10) comprises an optical quality control apparatus for carrying out inspection of a first side of the printed sheets while the printed sheets are being transported by the sheet gripper system (3b). The optical quality control apparatus includes a line camera (11) for scanning the first side of the printed sheets at an inspection location which is situated at a location proximate to a portion of the sheet gripper system (3b) where the gripper bars (32) transporting the printed sheets undergo a change of direction of displacement while the printed sheets are still being scanned by the line camera (11). The inspection system (10) further comprises a suction roller (50) that is placed in front of the optical path (B) of the line camera (11) along the path (A) of the printed sheets being transported by the sheet gripper system (3b), which suction roller (50) contacts a second side of the printed sheets opposite to the first side which is being scanned by the line camera (11), the suction roller (50) being driven at a selected circumferential speed to drive successive portions of the printed sheets being inspected by the quality control apparatus at a determined and controlled speed past the line camera (11).

    摘要: The machine further comprises a paper sheet feed device, a device for transporting the paper and a unit for applying security images (7) supported by at least one ribbon (8, 8a). The ribbon is brought into contact with the paper (1) so that the images (7) are applied at determined points on the paper. The application unit comprises an applicator cylinder (5) fitted with pads (52) in register with determined points on the sheets (1) and cooperates with a press cylinder (4), between which cylinders the paper (1) passes. The ribbon (8, 8a) is mounted between two reels (B1, B2) for paying out the ribbon and (25) for winding up the ribbon. The machine is equipped with a device (13) for preheating the ribbon (8, 8a) upstream of the applicator cylinder (5) so as to preheat the images (7) which will be applied to the sheet of paper (1) by simple contact of said pads (52) with the images (7) against the press cylinder (4).

A measuring device (64) determines the offset of a lateral edge of the sheet in relation to a predetermined set alignment. A transversal displacement device is used to align a lateral edge of the sheet in accordance with the measurement result of the measuring device. The acceleration and/or speed and/or angle of rotation of the drive motor for driving the rotation of the alignment cylinder can be controlled or adjusted according to predetermined laws of motion, in particular in accordance with the angle of rotation of the alignment cylinder.
