摘要： An apparatus and method for reducing particulate material such as paper making pulp between radially extending relatively rotatable and axially confronting refining surfaces between which the material must pass while being refined during relative rotation of the surfaces. The refining surfaces are mounted on resiliently flexible disks for operating pressure responsive clearance adjustment of the relatively rotating refining surfaces axially relative to one another, for attaining optimum material refining results from the refining surfaces.

A bar set cluster is established for uniform fabrication of bar clusters for the refiner fillings.

摘要： A refiner comprising a housing having a refining chamber providing a flow path for particulate material to be refined while travelling between an upstream inlet and a downstream outlet. A refining assembly in the chamber has a series of relatively rotatably cooperative axially confronting annular refining surfaces located on partially internested refining disks and defining radially extending refining zones therebetween and with radially opposite ends of the zones closed. Passages defined by and between the internested portions of the disks connect the adjacent refining zones in a manner to cause the particulate material such as paper making stock to pass successively between the radially outer ends of the zones and the radially inner ends of the zones.

摘要： Method and apparatus for pulping and grading waste material in which the waste material is introduced into a cylindrical chamber having two end walls with a perforate screen in one of the end walls. An impeller in the chamber adjacent the perforate screen provides for pulping and pumping of the stock as well as provides rotational movement of the stock within the chamber. Lightweight rejects are continuously removed through an outlet centrally located in the end wall opposite the screen and heavy rejects are removed through an outlet in the cylindrical wall adjacent the end wall opposite the screen. The stock is introduced to the chamber through an annular inlet which surrounds and is coaxial with respect to the lightweight rejects outlet line.

摘要： A formable, laterally stretchable fabric which retains its shape includes a plurality of laterally spaced longitudinally extending soft, formable metallic wires comprising the warps and a weft pattern of yarns which act to connect adjacent warps at staggered intervals. The knitted fabric is stretchable in the weft direction and the soft wires are caused to bend at or near the weft connecting points, thus holding the fabric in its reformed and/or stretched condition.

摘要： A centrifugal pulp screen device including a perforate wall cylindrical screen, an outer enclosing housing, a centrally located stock supply conduit and a distributor for the stock including an annular distribution slice opening having a fixed lower lip and movable upper lip with the slice discharging against fixed angular vanes which direct the stock in a spiralling centrifugal flow along the inner surface of the screen with the volume of flow controlled by adjustment of the slice opening and the velocity controlled by a variable delivery supply pump and the velocity affecting the spiralling centrifugal action by impact of the stock against the vanes. A corresponding method for screening the stock is also disclosed.

摘要： Method and apparatus for pulping and grading waste paper in which stock is introduced through a central inlet in one end wall of a cylindrical chamber and accepts are discharged through a perforate screen in the opposite end wall. An impeller in the chamber adjacent the perforate screen provides for pulping and pumping of the stock as well as provides rotational movement of the stock within the chamber. Light rejects are continuously removed through an outlet adjacent the wall containing the perforate screen while heavy rejects are removed through an outlet adjacent the inlet wall.
