(371 to 496° C.), a VI from 105 to 119, and either a Noack volatility less than 18 wt % or a CCS VIS at −25° C. less than 1500 mPa·s. The base oil may have a ratio of Noack Volatility to CCS VIS at −25° C. multiplied by 100 from 0.80 to 1.55.
