    摘要: A control system for a cinematographic film cassette processor/projector unit. The control system includes a function programmer comprising an operating cycle selector responsive to a processed/unprocessed indicator on the cassette to program the control system for either a processed-film operating cycle or an unprocessed-film operating cycle and a logic unit for programming the sequence and execution of the plural operational modes of the apparatus during an operating cycle. The control system further includes a reel drive control circuit having plural speed and direction drive control modes programmed by the function programmer, a mode change actuator circiut responsive to cessation of film movement to actuate a change in the operational mode of the processor/projector by changing the logic state of the logic disc assembly, and a manually-actuatable replay circuit.

    摘要: A film cassette sensing and retaining unit for film handling apparatus. The unit is responsive to completed insertion of a cassette into the film handling apparatus to mechanically latch the cassette in position and to electrically condition and actuate the film handling apparatus. Upon termination of operation of the film handling apparatus, the unit is effective to unlatch and eject the cassette and thereby deactuate the film handling apparatus. A disabling mechanism is provided to prevent premature unlatching and ejection of the cassette in a particular circumstance.

    摘要: A film handling apparatus blower system. The system includes a blower having a high-pressure, low-volume section and low-pressure, high-volume section. The high-pressure, low-volume section is a scroll-type centrifugal blower with a circular impeller of cellular material to minimize discernible noise, an axial intake port, and a high-pressure outlet port. The high-pressure outlet port is coupled to a duct which directs the output high-pressure air flow into a film cassette. The low-pressure, high volume section is also a scroll-type centrifugal blower having a bladed fan wheel, an axial intake port, and three low-pressure outlet ports. One low-pressure outlet port is coupled to a duct which directs output air flow to a location for flow adjacent the rearward portion of a projection lamp. A second low-pressure outlet port is coupled to a duct which directs output air flow to a location for flow adjacent the frontal portion of the projection lamp. A third low-pressure outlet port is coupled to a duct which directs output air flow across the AC drive motor of the film handling apparatus.

An electromagnet bucks the magnetic attraction of the permanent magnet allowing the latch to be electronically releasable.     摘要: In a rotary switch, a manually rotatable shaft turns a disk which has a plurality of riser cam segments on one of its face. Stepwise rotation of the disk causes the cam segments to press down on flat spring contacts arranged in the switch to put the tip of one of the contacts at a time into electric contact with a stationary electrical contact that is connected to a source of electric potential or, in the alternative, to relieve one of the contacts from being pressed onto the stationary contact. An index wheel mounts to the shaft and has equiangularly spaced grooves. A plastic spring having parallel legs is mounted on the base of the switch. The legs have convex detents which register in successive grooves as the rotor is indexed rotationally in a stepwise fashion. The radius of the detents is greater than the radius of the grooves between the teeth of the index wheel. The legs of the spring are prohibited from moving longitudinally and tension is maintained in the spring legs at all times.

The movement of the plunger (22) loads a compression spring (23) that is located between a base end of the plunger (22) and an opposing end wall of the casing. Two longitudinal casing sections (11, 12) form arcuate projections (43, 44) on the opposing end wall (49) which are inserted within at least one coil of the spring with an interference fit to hold the casing half sections together. Beams (64, 65, 74, 75) adjacent the base end wall (17) add support against the thrust reaction movement of the actuator housing (18) in response to movement of the plunger (22) against the compression spring (23).
