摘要:
An elongated resilient sealing strip for sealing the space between a pair of adjacent articulated traction shoes of a removable track for tires having a flexible belt on which the shoes are mounted. The sealing strip has a base with edge portions located between the shoes and belt. In addition, a rib extends from the base into engagement with the surface of at least one of the shoes. The sealing strip may have an edge portion clamped between one of the shoes and the belt, or an edge portion may be adhered to a surface of one of the traction shoes. The rib may extend from the base at an angle to the belt-engaging surface and having a sealing edge engageable with the surface of one of the shoes.

An apparatus is described for intimately admixing two liquid components which react chemically with each other immediately after mixing (the mixing of phosgene and polyamines is an example). The mixing is accomplished by introducing one component in the form of a fan shaped spray into a mixing chamber, and causing this spray to intersect with twin fan-shaped sprays of the second component which latter sprays are introduced into the mixing chamber from preferably diametrically opposed locations in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of the first component spray. The process and apparatus in question provide improved mixing, substantially reduce problems of solids deposition hitherto encountered in similar processes, and give products of greater uniformity and improved physical properties.

A tire for off-the-road vehicles, the tire is designed for a removable tread, or a lugged metal traction band. A pair of detachable resilient shields are maintained adjacent the sidewalls of the tire to protect this critical area of the tire from damage. The radially outer edges of the shields are secured adjacent the tread and the radially inner edges have circumferentially continuous inextensible reinforcements for interlocking engagement of the inner edges with the flanges of the wheel rim.

A safety support for mounting on a rim inside a tire chamber to support the shoulder areas of the tire in a deflated condition. The support has a pair of spaced-apart rings with a diameter less than the diameter of the tread portion of the tire in the inflated condition and greater than the diameter of the tire beads for engaging the tire in the deflated condition. The rings are mounted on a pair of arms extending outwardly from a central disc-like annular supporting member having a radially inner edge in supported engagement with the rim.
