摘要: An intermediate transfer member defines a transfer nip with a transfuse member. A cooling platen contacts the intermediate transfer member in the post-transfer nip region. The cooling platen absorbs heat from the intermediate transfer member to evaporate a liquid into a gas. The gas is directed to a heating platen contacting the pre-nip region of the intermediate transfer member. The heating platen condenses the gas to a liquid to heat the intermediate transfer member.

摘要: A printing apparatus employs rheological assist to transfer toner images from an intermediate transfer member to a transfuse member prior to final transfer and fusion of the toner image to a substrate. The transfuse member and intermediate member are maintained at a preestablished temperature differential, the intermediate transfer member being heated above ambient temperature. The preestablished temperature differential rheologically assists the transfer of the toner image to provide complete transfer of the toner image.

摘要: A cleaning station for removing toner and particulates from a fusing member has first and second cleaning rollers rollingly engaging the fusing member. Each cleaning roller has a roller surface coated with a layer of tacky toner. Each roller further defines an internal receiver for collecting excess toner and particulates, and has an aperture forming a fluid passage between the reservoir and the surface of the roller. A synchronization assembly synchronizes the rotation of the rollers so the second cleaning roller cleans the portions of the fusing member uncleaned by the first cleaning roller due to the aperture in the surface of the first cleaning roller.

摘要: A cleaning station for a fusing member has first and second cleaner rollers. The first cleaner roller is coated with a sticky or adhesive first toner layer. The first toner layer contacts the fuser member for cleaning. The second cleaner roller is coated with a sticky or adhesive second toner layer. The second toner layer is in contact with the first toner layer. The second cleaner roller defines apertures connecting to an internal reservoir. Excess toner from the second toner layer collects in the internal reservoir.

摘要: A seamless intermediate transfer member has a reinforcing member in an endless configuration, a filler material such as a polymer and electrical property regulating material to regulate the electrical properties such as surface and bulk resistivity, dielectric constant and charge dissipation. The seamless intermediate transfer member also has good mechanical properties. The reinforcing member can be prepared by any suitable method such as by weaving. Filler material and electrical regulating material can be applied on, around or embedded into the reinforcing member. The member can be employed in an electrostatographic imaging system with more than one toner imaging station. The member can pick up a separate image from each individual imaging station and transfer the combined image to a suitable substrate. The seamless intermediate transfer member is capable of dissipating charge between toner imaging stations, achieving good transfer efficiencies and has a non-stretch characteristic to attain good registration of a toner image.

摘要: Provided herein is a system for using a cleaning web in an electrostatic printing process to provide a uniform and thin wax layer on the fuser roll and thereby minimize print history effects, reduce triboelectric voltages on the fuser roll and provide uniform and improved release of the toner from the fuser roll. The application of this beneficial thin film to the fuser roll is accomplished by impregnating the cleaning web with a wax material that is substantially the same as the wax material in the toner used in the system. This impregnated wax, therefore, has the same release and triboelectric properties as the wax in the toner and therefore will not attract residual toner but will rather repel it.
