摘要: A gasoline dispenser system includes a housing with a first enclosure providing a safe area for mounting electrical apparatus, a second enclosure providing a hazaradous area for mounting fuel carrying apparatus, an air gap vapor barrier separating the first and second enclosures, at least one bifurcated electromechanical valve for controlling gasoline flow, having a solenoid winding mounted within the first enclosure, and a valve body mounted within the second enclosure, with a control rod connected from the solenoid winding, through the air gap, to a plunger or control device within the valve body, and with an elastomeric seal about the control rod for secondary sealing where it enters the second enclosure, for substantially preventing gasoline fumes from escaping from the second enclosure into the air gap.

摘要: In a coaxial hose system for a fuel distribution system, a product delivery hose is centrally located within a vapor recovery hose, whereby the area between the product and vapor hoses provides a return path for vapors developed at a nozzle during refueling of a vehicle. A venturi pump is located in the product hose, and operable over a range of flow rate of the fuel through the product hose, for sucking fuel back into the product hose from an area of the vapor path where fuel may accumulate due to backflow from the nozzle, thereby substantially insuring a clear vapor path and more complete delivery of metered fuel.

摘要: A fuel dispensing system includes a manifold for receiving one or more grades of fuel at individual input ports and a plurality of output ports. The output ports are each connected to individual input ports of steering valves, the latter having output ports connected to inlets of nozzle and hose assemblies. A controller is included that is site programmable for designating a particular hose/nozzle assembly for dispensing a particular straight grade or blend of fuel. The controller is responsive to the selection of a given nozzle by a user for energizing and controlling one or more flow control valves, and the steering valve associated with the selected nozzle, for delivering the required grade or grades of fuel to the manifold for dispensing the grade of fuel associated with the selected nozzle, in a desired amount under closed loop control.

摘要: A dispenser for delivering different grades of gasoline through a single nozzle at each fueling position, includes a pair of hoses connected to the nozzle, one of which hoses is used for selectively delivering high octane gasoline, and the other of which hoses is for selectively delivering either low octane or mid octane gasoline through the nozzle, whereby a control system is programmed for monitoring the dispensing of low octane gasoline relative to the dispensing of mid octane gasoline, for injecting a sufficient quantity of high octane gasoline through the nozzle at the initiator of a mid octane dispensing cycle for compensating for low octane fuel remaining in the other hose from an immediately prior low octane dispensing cycle relative to a mid octane dispensing cycle.
