摘要： Benzoyl peroxide compositions containing antioxidants and/or malonic acid. Treatment of acne vulgaris with a combination of actives, namely benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, include applying such benzoyl peroxide compositions to an area of the body afflicted with acne followed by application of a topical, at least partially neutralized salicylic acid composition to the afflicted area. Malonic acid may be included in combination with either the benzoyl peroxide composition, the salicylic acid composition or both.

摘要： Benzoyl peroxide compositions are stabilized against decomposition by the use of antioxidants, resulting in increased shelf life of products made using the compositions. Treatment of truncal acne vulgaris with a combination of actives, namely benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, is provided via regimens that include applying such benzoyl peroxide compositions to an area of the body afflicted with acne, after a waiting period rinsing the benzoyl peroxide-treated area (e.g., by showering), drying the rinsed area, and then applying a topical, at least partially neutralized salicylic acid composition to the afflicted area.

In the process the cosmetic stick is conveyed to a trimming station provided with a rotatable knife and a camming device. The device directs contact of the stick and knife over a nonlinear cutting path. The knife is rotated along the stick to remove portions thereof in a preselected fashion controlled by the camming device.

摘要： A sprayable cosmetic product is provided packaged in a clear bottle capable of withstanding at least 5 psig pressure fitted with a spray nozzle. The cosmetic composition contained therein is a clear, single-phase fluid containing a dialkyl ether/hydrocarbon as propellant system and a concentrate which requires a surfactant and optimally may contain a coupling agent. When present, the coupling agent is a propoxylated adduct of mono or polyhydric alcohols. Upon activation of the spray nozzle, a thick, creamy mousse is expressed. These compositions will preferably have a pH ranging from about 3.0 to 6.5.
