摘要： The present invention involves a structure of a contactless ohmic resistance potentiometer. A current path between two exterior electrodes is provided by a photoconductor, and a means is provided for causing an exposure of a portion of the length of the photoconductor between one exterior electrode and a tapping electrode. This permits a voltage division between two exterior electrodes. The usable surface of the photoconductor layer is delimited by an exterior electrode and a tapping electrode having a definite geometric course between the exterior electrodes. The distance ratio from the tapping electrode to the two exterior electrodes is varied by means of displacing the exposure of the photoconductor which causes the active partial surface of the photoconductor to be varied at will.

摘要： A light-sensitive target for a color television system which includes a transparent carrier plate such as the front plate of a color television camera, having discrete strips of interference filter material disposed thereon. The strips are disposed in parallel relation on the inside surface of the transparent carrier. An intermediate layer is formed over these strips to eliminate abrupt or sharp edges presented by the strip to the inside surface of the tube. A conductive layer is formed over the intermediate layer and finally a light sensitive medium is disposed over the entire inside surface of the system. By means of the intermediate layer, the contour between the light-sensitive and the conductive layers are caused to have generally rounded configurations, thereby eliminating interferences.

摘要： An apparatus for inspecting or screening articles, such as closed luggage and parcels, having a moveable shield to enclose selectively a monitoring duct area in which the articles are placed for screening by X-ray or similar radiation. The shield moves in a fixed housing (which may in turn be mobile) on wheels. A linear drive motor has a stator fixed in the bottom of the housing. The shield carries a rail electromagnetically reactable directly with the stator. Proximity switches in the housing activated by a magnet on the shield control the travel of the shield. A switch located between the end of travel switches may be employed to vary the speed of the linear motor to provide quick, safe cycling of the apparatus.
