摘要： An applicator/dispenser assembly for dispensing and/or applying an adhesive material comprises: a first body portion and a second body portion, at least one of the first and second body portions being movable relative to the other of the first and second body portions; a cavity in at least one of the first and second body portions; and a piercing or breaking member arranged on one of the first and second body portions. Movement of one of the first and second body portions relative to the other of the first and second body portions moves the piercing or breaking member into the cavity. When a container of adhesive material is at least partially disposed within the cavity, movement of one of the first and second body portions relative to the other moves the piercing or breaking member to rupture the container for dispensing and/or applying the adhesive material.

摘要： An adhesive composite composition is provided including one or more polymerizable monomers and one or more metal stearates. The one or more polymerizable monomers may be a cyanoacrylate monomer. The adhesive composite composition may further comprise a plasticizer, an initiator, a rate modifier, a stabilizer, a colorant, a heat dissipating agent, or other additives. Methods for the application of the adhesive composite compositions to living tissue are also provided. The adhesive composite composition provides an adhesive composite material upon polymerization which is a polymer matrix entrapping the metal stearate. Polymerization of the adhesive composite composition at a site on living tissue provides an adhesive composite material which promotes microcirculation and tissue growth at the site of application of the adhesive composite composition.

摘要： An adhesive composition is provided including one or more polymerizable cyanoacrylate monomers and boron trifluoride as a stabilizer or complexing agent. The adhesive composition may also include or be used with a decomplexing agent, particularly one or more quaternary ammonium fluoride salts or one or more quaternary ammonium ether salts. A polymerization initiator or accelerator may also be used. The viscosity of the adhesive composition may be controlled by addition of a thickening agent which may be a polymer or copolymer catalyzed by a boron trifluoride complex or compound. Methods for the application of the adhesive compositions to living tissue are also provided.

摘要： A polymerizable monomer adhesive composition includes a 1,1-disubstituted ethylene monomer and at least one slip additive, where the slip additive causes a polymer film formed from the monomer to have a lower coefficient of friction than in an absence of the slip additive. The slip additive can be selected from, inter alia, fluorinated monomers or polymers, fluorinated additives, siloxane-containing monomers or polymers, siloxane-containing additives, fluorinated siloxanes, and long chain fatty acid esters. The slip additive can also form a second phase in a resultant polymer film, where the second phase is soluble in the monomer but is insoluble or substantially insoluble in the polymer.

摘要： A microapplicator for dispensing and applying an adhesive or sealant material comprises a handle portion, an applicator tip connected to the handle portion, and a microreservoir at the applicator tip arranged to hold a small amount, about 20 microliters or less, of an adhesive/sealant material until dispensing. In embodiments, the applicator tip has a width of about 1 mm. The microapplicator may include a second reservoir, containing the adhesive/sealant material, that is arranged to supply the adhesive/sealant material to the microreservoir at the applicator tip. The second reservoir may comprise a frangible ampoule disposed in the handle portion, a container, such as a syringe, connected to the handle portion, or the handle portion itself. The applicator tip may comprise one of a polymer loop, a spatula, a rolling ball, a grate, a porous material, such as a swab, a foam pad or a mesh, and a brush.
