摘要： A communication apparatus is installed in a vehicle. A time information obtaining unit obtains a current time. A state information obtaining unit repeatedly obtains state information representing a state of an own vehicle at the current time. An own vehicle information generating unit estimates predicted arrival positions at specific times between the current time and a specified time, and repeatedly generates own vehicle information including the current position and the predicted arrival positions. An information transmitting unit transmits the own vehicle information. An information storage unit stores the own vehicle information into a first storage section as past own vehicle information. The information transmitting unit obtains an information coincidence degree representing the degree of the coincidence between current own vehicle information and the past own vehicle information, and transmits the current own vehicle information if the information coincidence degree is less than a specified threshold.

摘要： A two-hop distant node is recognized by exchanging a Hello message, and an RTS message is transmitted through a doubled transmission distance prior to transmission of a data packet. Each node manages a channel available to a self node and an adjacent node in a channel status table based on the RTS message. A node which tries to transmit the data packet refers to the channel status table, so as to be capable of easily selecting a channel available to the self node and a node of a communication destination. Transmission wireless field strength is enhanced or a modulating system strongly resistant to noises is used so that the RTS message is transmitted at a distance which is not less than twice as long as that of the Hello message and the data packet.

摘要： Application data generated by an ECU is wireless transmitted by a transmission device in a subject vehicle so as to periodically change a communications distance by changing, every transmission timing, at least one of (i) a transmission rate, which is used in transforming a transmission packet into a transmission signal in a modulation section, and (ii) a transmission power, which is configured by an amplification section to amplify the transmission signal. As a result, the data transmission from the subject vehicle can be made (i) in high repetition times with respect to a nearby vehicle having a greater risk of collision (i.e., time to collision being shorter), and (ii) in low repetition times with respect to a distant vehicle having a less risk of collision (i.e., time to collision being longer).
