摘要: Provided herein is a system for use in determining right-of-way. The system includes a host vehicle at or approaching an intersection, and the host vehicle includes a transceiver configured for vehicle-to-vehicle communication and a control unit. The control unit is configured to receive a local map of an area surrounding the intersection; receive, via the transceiver, a first signal from at least one client vehicle, wherein the first signal indicates the at least one client vehicle is at or approaching the intersection; determine, based upon a set of rules, that the host vehicle is an arbitrator, wherein the arbitrator assigns a priority value for right-of-way to each vehicle at or approaching the intersection; and transmit, via the transceiver, a second signal to the at least one client vehicle, wherein the second signal includes the assigned priority values for each vehicle at or approaching the intersection.

The instructions cause the communication device to generate a detection signal indicative of whether the communication device is located within a first vehicle, generate a vehicle mode indication signal indicative of the communication device being located in the first vehicle based on the detection signal, transmit a first vehicle mode signal based on the vehicle mode indication signal, receive a second vehicle mode signal indicative of a device being located in a second vehicle, receive a subsequent signal representing the second vehicle, and perform a function based on the second vehicle mode signal and subsequent signal representing the second vehicle.

摘要: First feature points can be determined which correspond to pose-invariant surface model properties based on first data points included in a first lidar point cloud acquired by a sensor. A three-dimensional occupancy grid can be determined based on first data points included in the first lidar point cloud. Dynamic objects in a second lidar point cloud acquired by the sensor can be determined based on the occupancy grid. Second feature points can be determined which correspond to pose-invariant surface model properties based on second data points included in the second lidar point cloud not including the dynamic objects. A difference can be determined between corresponding feature points included in the first feature points and the second feature points. A traffic infrastructure system can be alerted based on the difference exceeding a threshold.

The system can determine a collision avoidance path by: 1) predicting the behavior/trajectory of other moving objects (and identifying stationary objects); 2) given the driving trajectory (issued by autonomous driving system) or predicted driving trajectory (human), establishing the probability for a collision that can be calculated between the vehicle and one or more objects; and 3) finding a path to minimize the collision probability.

摘要: A method for increasing the traffic flow density at a traffic light intersection is disclosed in which vehicles driving straight ahead and vehicles turning left may pass the traffic light intersection simultaneously, wherein the vehicles driving straight ahead are partly equipped vehicles having a Car2X communication, an automatic longitudinal control and a control unit. To increase the traffic flow density, the number of waiting vehicles turning left is transmitted to the equipped vehicles driving straight ahead. Time gaps between the vehicles driving straight ahead is set in dependence upon the number of vehicles turning left by the control unit and the automatic longitudinal control, such that a first share of the time gaps are safety time gaps, which respectively correspond to the required safety distance, and the second share of the time gaps are critical time gaps, which permit at least one vehicle turning left to turn collision-free.
