The organic EL element includes: an anode, a hole injecting and transporting layer formed on the anode, a light emitting layer formed on the hole injecting and transporting layer, an electron injecting and transporting layer formed on the light emitting layer, and a cathode formed on the electron injecting and transporting layer. Ip2≧Ip3 is established when an ionization potential of a constituent material for the light emitting layer is Ip2 and an ionization potential of a constituent material for the electron injecting and transporting layer is Ip3. Ea1≧Ea2 is established when an electron affinity of a constituent material for the hole injecting and transporting layer is Ea1 and an electron affinity of the constituent material for the light emitting layer is Ea2.

    摘要： An evaporation device and an evaporation apparatus applying the same are adapted to performing evaporation process to an object to be coated. The evaporation device includes a tape carrier and a mask. The tape carrier has a heating region. The object to be coated is located over the heating region and is adapted to move along a feeding direction. The tape carrier is adapted to carry a coating material to pass through the heating region. The coating material is heated in the heating region and evaporated. The mask having an opening between the heating region and the object to be coated is disposed in the periphery of the heating region. The evaporated coating material is adapted to pass through the opening and coated on the object.

    摘要： An organic EL (electroluminescence) element capable of efficiently recombining holes and electrons in a light emitting layer and also improving efficiency and lifetime of the element. The element comprises electrodes 1 and 2, the light emitting layer 4, and transport layers 3 and 5 that transport holes and electrons to the layer 4. The layer 4 contains compound functioning as electron accepting dopant and/or substance functioning as electron donating dopant. Accordingly, it is possible to optimize the injection valance of holes or electrons into the layer 4.

    摘要： Provided are a hole-injecting material for an organic electroluminescent device (organic EL device) exhibiting high luminous efficiency at a low voltage and having greatly improved driving stability, and an organic EL device using the material. The hole-injecting material for an organic EL device is selected from benzenehexacarboxylic acid anhydrides, benzenehexacarboxylic acid imides, or N-substituted benzenehexacarboxylic acid imides. Further, the organic EL device has at least one light-emitting layer and at least one hole-injecting layer between an anode and a cathode arranged opposite to each other, and includes the above-mentioned hole-injecting material for an organic EL device in the hole-injecting layer. The organic EL device may contain a hole-transporting material having an ionization potential (IP) of 6.0 eV or less in the hole-injecting layer or a layer adjacent to the hole-injecting layer.

    摘要： The present invention provides an organic EL element having a multi-photon structure, in which optical absorption in the visible region caused by a charge-transfer complex in a conventional intermediate layer structure is inhibited, and the resistance of this intermediate layer to a counter career is improved, thus allowing high efficiency and a long operation life of the element.The element is arranged to be formed on a substrate 1 and have a multi-photon structure in which a plurality of light emitting units 4 including at least one light emitting layer are stacked via an intermediate layer 5 between an anode layer 2 and a cathode layer 3 which is a counter electrode, the above-mentioned intermediate layer 5 is formed by mixing or stacking an electron accepting material or an electron donating material and an organic compound, so as to avoid formation of a charge-transfer complex.

    摘要： An illuminating device is provided which is capable of being used for a variety of illuminating applications by combining panel cases housing surface light emitting bodies and of realizing light modulation control in a state in which each panel case is being combined. To one end of a long panel case 1 housing the surface light emitting body is connected a hub case 2 housing a power module and to the other end of the panel case 1 are sequentially connected panel case each having same configuration as the panel case 1, in series, via a connector. Driving power is supplied to a power module housed in the panel case of each of sets made up of the serially connected body and light modulation for the surface light emitting bodies housed in the panel cases of each set is exerted independently by the power module housed in the each hub case of each set.
