摘要: A method of forming an electrophotographic photoreceptor capable of forming a smooth coating film free of pinholes, bubbles, surface unevenness, etc. in a short time as a coating film for forming a photosensitive layer is provided. The method includes heating and drying a coating film formed by coating a coating solution containing ingredients of the photosensitive layer and a solvent medium containing 30% by weight or more of a solvent having a relative evaporation rate of less than 1.7 represented by the following formula (1) in an air stream at a temperature of 50° C. or higher and 130° C. or lower supplied from a blowing nozzle, by a far infrared ray heating method and an induction heating method, by using, for example, a drying apparatus, thereby manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor: (relative evaporation rate)=(time for evaporating n-butyl acetate)/(time for evaporating solvent)  (1)

摘要: A combined display panel comprises a liquid crystal display (LCD) and an electroluminescent display (EL). In addition to the conventional emitting agents, an electroluminescent layer of the EL contains a pigment element for reflecting radiation toward the LCD. Preferably, the LCD is a guest-host type and the EL is a powder type. The material of the pigment element may be selected from a white pigment including barium titanate and titanium oxide. A semi-transparent film such as a parchment paper may be inserted between the LCD and the EL.

摘要: A magneto-optical record/reproduce apparatus utilizes a magneto-optical record medium having a surface on which a record area and a non-record area are defined, the non-record area having a lower friction than that of the record area. The apparatus includes a record/read head disposed in the vicinity of the surface of the magneto-optical record medium, the record/read head being moved away from the magneto-optical record medium during a running state of the magneto-optical record medium for recording or reading information, the record/read head being in contact with the magneto-optical record medium during a stop state of the magneto-optical record medium after terminating the recording or reading of the information, a termination detect section for detecting a termination of the recording/reading of the information related to the magneto-optical record medium, and for outputting a termination detect signal, and a move device for moving the record/read head to a position facing the non-record area based on the termination detect signal from the termination detect section.

摘要: A coating liquid to be used for coating has a loss tangent tan δ of from 1 to 10 at a frequency of 6.28 radians/sec. A coating liquid supplying roll has a fine concave portion in at least a part of the circumferential length thereof, and in the vicinities of the both circumferential ends of the fine concave portion, the fine concave portion 8 has concave depth decreasing portions formed in such a manner that the depth of a fine concave decreases. The fine concave portion is constructed in such a manner that the sum L (=L1+L2) of a circumferential length L1 of a portion in which the fine concaves are formed in substantially the same depth and a circumferential length L2 of one concave depth decreasing portion becomes an integral multiple (1 or more) of a circumference Lc of the cylindrical substrate.
