摘要: A carbody of a railcar includes: an underframe; a first member provided at one of vertical sides of a vertical center of the underframe, supported by the underframe, and absorbing collision energy; a second member provided at the other vertical side of the vertical center of the underframe, supported by the underframe, and contacting an obstacle when the first member is compressed by collision with the obstacle. In a case where the second member receives a reaction force from the obstacle when the first member is compressed by the collision with the obstacle, the second member transfers to the underframe a moment load that is opposite in a rotational direction to a moment load transferred to the underframe by the first member.

摘要: A plurality of side modules include a first module, a second module and a third module extending between the first module and the second module in the carbody longitudinal direction and joined to the first module and the second module. A lower end portion of the first module and a lower end portion of the second module oppose and are joined to a floor bodyshell. A lower end portion of a region of the third module opposes the floor bodyshell, the region being located between the first module and the second module. The lower end portion of the region of the third module is freer with respect to the floor bodyshell than the lower end portion of the first module and the lower end portion of the second module. The third module is supported by the floor bodyshell through the first module and the second module.

摘要: A railcar head structure includes: a roof bodyshell positioned above a driver's cab window; and an underframe. The underframe includes: a pair of side sills; and a center sill located between the side sills and extending in a car longitudinal direction. A collision post is erected on a tip end of the center sill. A pillar is provided at the driver's cab window and extends so as to divide the driver's cab window. The pillar includes one end joined to the collision post and the other end joined to the roof bodyshell and couples the roof bodyshell and the collision post to each other.

摘要: A railcar collision energy absorbing device includes: an energy absorbing element crushed in collision; and a casing extending in a car longitudinal direction so as to accommodate the energy absorbing element. One end of the casing is supported by a main structure of a railcar. The casing is constituted by a plurality of tubular bodies whose overlapping portions are coupled to each other. The casing telescopically contracts in the collision by breaking of a coupling portion between the tubular bodies.
