The display system of the excavating machine has a work machine condition detection unit which detects information related to a current position of an excavating machine and a processing unit. This processing unit calculates an icon display of the bucket and the positions of the excavation edge portions viewed from a top of the excavating machine based on the information related to the current position of the excavating machine, the information related to the posture of the main body, the information about the positions of the excavation edge portions and the outer shape information about the bucket, and displays on a screen of a display device the target surface, the icon display position of the bucket, and an image which indicates the positions of the excavation edge portions.

A display system of an excavating machine including a work machine with a bucket and a main body part to which the work machine is attached, includes: a storage storing positional information of a design surface indicating a design land shape and outer shape information of the bucket; and a processor determining, among measurement reference points predetermined along an outer shape of a buttock part of the bucket for measuring a position, including at least a tip of the bucket, a measurement reference point closest to the design surface, based on information on a current position of the excavating machine, information on a posture of the main body part, information on a position of the tip of the bucket, and the outer shape information of the bucket.

A display system of an excavation machine including a work machine having a bucket and a body portion on which the work machine is mounted, the display system of the excavation machine includes: a bucket position information generation unit which generates position information of the bucket; a storage unit which stores information of a dimension of the bucket and information of a target construction surface indicating a target shape of a construction object; a display unit which displays an image of the target construction surface on a screen; and a processing unit which displays a straight line image that is generated by extracting a part corresponding to a bottom surface of the bucket viewed from a side surface along with the image of the target construction surface on the display unit.
