摘要: There is provided a control unit (100) for use with a respiratory assist device (102) that assists a subject (104) with respiration. The control unit (100) configured to detect a time at which delivery of an inhalable therapy to the subject (104) is manually triggered on an inhalable therapy device (106). The control unit (100) is also configured to detect whether the subject (104) has fallen asleep and, on detecting that the subject (104) has fallen asleep, control the inhalable therapy device (106) to automatically trigger delivery of the inhalable therapy to the subject (104) at least a predefined length of time following the detected time at which delivery of the inhalable therapy to the subject (104) is manually triggered.

摘要: A system for capturing a 3D image of a subject includes a detection device which is structured to capture images of the subject and surrounding environment, a projection device which is structured to provide a source of structured light, and a processing unit in communication with the detection device and the projection device. The processing unit is programmed to: analyze an image of the subject captured by the detection device; modify one or more of: the output of the projection device or the intensity of a source of environmental lighting illuminating the subject based on the analysis of the image; and capture a 3D image of the subject with the detection device and the projection device using the modified one or more of the output of the projection device or the intensity of the source of environmental lighting illuminating the subject.

摘要: An arrangement for exhausting gases from a cavity of a patient interface to an ambient environment, patient interface for use in providing a flow of treatment gas to the airway of a patient. The arrangement includes a body member that forms a portion of the patient interface between the cavity and the ambient environment. The body member includes: a number of inlets defined in a first side of the body member for receiving gases from the cavity; a number of outlets defined in a second side of the body member opposite the first side for provide for the exit of gases from the patient interface to the surrounding environment; and a number of high-drag passages defined in the body member extending laterally between an inlet of the number of inlets and an outlet of the number of outlets.

摘要: A tubing assembly for use in providing a flow of positive pressure breathing gas to a patient. The tubing assembly includes a manifold portion structured to receive the flow of positive pressure breathing gas, a number of tubular portions which each extend from the manifold portion to a distal end which is structured to be coupled to a patient interface for use in delivering the flow of positive pressure breathing gas to the patient, and a reflectance pulse oximetry sensor positioned in or on one of the number of tubular portions. The sensor is structured to be disposed adjacent the patient when the tubing assembly is disposed on the patient for determining blood oxygen saturation levels of the patient.
