摘要: An ultrasound transducer arrangement (100) is disclosed comprising a plurality of substrate islands (110, 120, 130) spatially separated and electrically interconnected by a flexible polymer assembly (150) including electrically conductive tracks providing said electrical interconnections, said plurality including a first substrate island (110) comprising a plurality of ultra sound transducer cells (112) and a second substrate island (120) comprising an array of external contacts for connecting the ultrasound sensor arrangement to a flexible tubular body including a coaxial wire assembly (200) comprising a plurality of coaxial wires (220) each having a conductive core (228) covered by an electrically insulating sleeve (226); and an electrically insulating body (210) having a first main surface (211), a second main surface (213) and a plurality of through holes (212) each extending from the first main surface to the second main surface and coated with an electrically conductive member, wherein each coaxial wire comprises an exposed terminal core portion mounted in one of said though holes from the first main surface, and wherein each through hole is sealed by a solder bump (214) on the second main surface such that the ultrasound transducer arrangement can be directly mounted on the flexible tubular body without the need for a PCB.

摘要: The invention relates to a transfer stack (TS) for transferring a portion of a foil within a perimeter (P) that includes a transducer (T) to an article (A) such as a medical device or a medical needle. The transfer stack includes a carrier substrate (CS), a foil (F) having a transducer (T) incorporated therein, and the transducer is laterally surrounded by a perimeter (P). The foil (F) is separable from the carrier substrate (CS) by overcoming a first peel retaining force (PRF1). An adhesive layer (AL) is also attached to the foil. The adhesive layer (AL) is configured to provide adhesion between the foil (F) and an article (A) such that when the article (A) is attached to the foil via the adhesive layer (AL) the foil (F) is separable from the surface of the article (A) by overcoming a second peel retaining force (PRF2). The second peel retaining force (PRF2) is greater than the first peel retaining force (PRF1).

摘要: An interventional device includes an elongate shaft and a transducer strip. The transducer strip includes a first edge and an opposing second edge. The first edge and the second edge are separated by a width dimension, and the first edge and the second edge each extend along a length direction of the transducer strip. The transducer strip also includes a piezoelectric transducer that extends along a transducer direction that forms an acute angle with respect to the length direction. The transducer strip is wrapped in the form of a spiral around the elongate shaft of the interventional device such that the piezoelectric transducer forms a band around the elongate shaft. The width dimension is defined such that the adjacent first and second edges of consecutive turns of the spiral abut or overlap one another.

A flexible interconnect extends over said backing member from the main surface to the further main surface, the flexible interconnect comprising a plurality of conductive tracks, each conductive track connecting one of said first contacts to a second contact. An ultrasound probe including such an assembly, an ultrasonic imaging system including such an ultrasound probes and manufacturing methods of such an assembly and probe are also disclosed.

摘要: An apparatus for creating a flow of gas comprises a frame having a passage defined therethrough. The passage extends a length along a central longitudinal axis from an inlet to an outlet and has a first side and a second side. A flexible pumping membrane is disposed within the passage. The membrane has a first edge coupled to the first side of the passage at a midline thereof and a second edge, disposed opposite the first edge, coupled to the second side of the passage at a midline thereof. The membrane segregates the frame into an upper portion and a lower portion. The apparatus also includes an actuating system which is structured to selectively move portions of the membrane toward either the upper portion or the lower portion of the frame in a manner which causes a wave-like movement in the pumping membrane and creates the flow of gas.

摘要: A transducer laminate in which electrical contact is made between electrical conductors (C1, C2) and a transducer layer (TY). The transducer laminate includes two adhesive-coated foils (F1, F2), whose adhesive coatings (AC1, AC2) are arranged to face each other. At a first position (A-A′) along the length of the two electrical conductors (C1, C2) the two electrical conductors (C1, C2) are sandwiched between the adhesive coatings (AC1, AC2) of the two adhesive-coated foils, and the transducer layer (TY) is also sandwiched between the two electrical conductors (C1, C2) such that electrical contact is made with the electrodes (E1, E2) on the transducer layer (TY). At a second position (B-B′) along the length of the two electrical conductors (C1, C2) the two electrical conductors (C1, C2) are sandwiched between the adhesive coatings (AC1, AC2) of the two adhesive-coated foils and there is no transducer layer (TY) sandwiched between the two electrical conductors (C1, C2).

The interventional device includes an electrically conductive elongate shaft, a sensor strip (104), electrical conductors (105, 106), and an electrical shield layer (109). The electrical conductors (105, 106) extend along the sensor strip between a sensor region (111) and a window (112) within which the electrical conductors (105, 106) are exposed. The sensor strip (104) is wrapped around the elongate shaft (103) in a spiral such that the electrical conductors (105, 106) extend along the longitudinal axis (A-A′) within the window (112), and such that an electrical shield contact portion (109′) adjacent the window (112), the window (112), and an exposed portion of the electrically conductive elongate shaft (103′) beyond the wrapped sensor strip provide the sensor interconnection region (101).
