Abstract:
An image reading apparatus according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes a document sheet table, a first carriage, a photoelectric converting portion, and a position detecting portion. First carriage has lighting portion. Position detecting portion detects initial position in reciprocating of first carriage. Lighting portion includes: light guide member on which the light from light source is incident, and which guides incident light in primary scanning direction and applies the light to document sheet table; and heat dissipating member that dissipates heat generated in light source. Position detecting portion includes: light emitter that emits light; light receiver that receives light emitted from light emitter; and detection member that moves in secondary scanning direction along with reciprocating of first carriage, in order to detect initial position of first carriage. Detection member is formed as flat plate that is integrated with heat dissipating member and extends in secondary scanning direction.

Abstract:
An image reading device includes a contact plate, a frame, a carriage, and a flexible flat cable. The carriage includes a reading mechanism and a resin-made slider projectedly provided at both end portions of the reading mechanism in its extending direction, and reciprocally moves in a sub-scanning direction at a bottom surface side of the contact plate while the slider slides the bottom surface of the contact plate in the frame. The flexible flat cable is connected to an one side surface of the carriage so that a width direction thereof matches the main-scanning direction, is arranged so that a part continued from a portion where the flexible flat cable connects with the one side surface is curved in a U-shape to go around toward an underside of the carriage, and transmits an electric signal of the reading mechanism. The contact plate is applied with a fluorine coating.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a fixing member and a conveying guide member. The conveying guide member is arranged on the downstream side of the fixing member in the sheet conveying direction and forms a conveying passage for a sheet passed through a fixing nip portion. The conveying guide member is provided with an opening portion which is open toward the fixing member near the downstream side of the fixing nip portion in the sheet conveying direction and which allows the inside and the outside of the conveying passage to communicate with each other, and is fitted with an static eliminating member which projects from outside the conveying portion via the opening portion into the conveying passage and which touches the sheet passed through the fixing nip portion to remove electric charges.
Abstract:
In an illumination device that radiates light to an object to be irradiated placed on a predetermined placement surface, a first light guide body has a first incident surface located at an end thereof in a first direction, which receives light along the first direction, and a first exit surface extending along the first direction, which emits the light in a second direction crossing the first direction, thereby radiating light to the object to be irradiated, from the second direction, and a second light guide body has a second incident surface located at an end thereof in the first direction, which receives light along the first direction, and a second exit surface extending along the first direction, which emits the light in a third direction crossing the first direction and the second direction, thereby radiating light to the object to be irradiated, from the third direction.
Abstract:
An image reading device includes an image reading section, a document table, a document pressing member, and a document size indication section. The image reading section reads an image of a document. The document table is located above the image reading section. The document is loaded on the document table. The document pressing member is provided over the document table in an openable and closable manner to press the document. The document size indication section is located on the document table and indicates a plurality of document sizes. The document size indication section is constituted by a semitransparent resin plate and includes a letter presenting portion. A part of the semitransparent resin plate of the document size indication section corresponding to the letter presenting portion has a smaller thickness than a part of the document size indication section other than the part thereof corresponding to the letter presenting portion.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus includes an image reading unit, a mounting portion, and a cover member. The cover member includes a first restricting portion, a lock portion, and an operation portion. The operation portion operated from outside the main unit is displaceable in a direction in which the lock portion deforms from the locking shape into the releasing shape. The mounting portion includes a second restricting portion and a part. The second restricting portion restricts displacement of the operation portion in the cover member mounted on the mounting portion in the second orientation. The part has a second aperture opening into the lock portion in the cover member mounted on the mounting portion in the second orientation from outside the main unit. The second aperture is an opening for the insertion of a tool for deforming the lock portion from the locking shape into the releasing shape.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a fixing unit and an apparatus main body. The fixing unit includes a first rotator, a second rotator, a temperature sensor, a switching mechanism, a switching sensor, and a unit side connector. The temperature sensor outputs a temperature signal corresponding to a temperature of the first rotator. The switching mechanism switches pressure of a fixing nip. The switching sensor outputs a switching signal corresponding to a position of the switching mechanism. The unit side connector is connected to the temperature sensor and the switching sensor. The apparatus main body includes a main body side connector and a controller. The main body side connector is connected to the unit side connector. The controller determines a state of attachment of the fixing unit to the apparatus main body on a basis of the temperature signal and the switching signal.
Abstract:
