摘要: The disclosure describes a method for securing the trustworthiness of an electronic device. At least first and second check-up data are stored in the electronic device. In the method, a first step of a boot program is executed. In the first boot step, the trustworthiness of the first check-up data is examined, wherein if the check-up shows that the first check-up data is trusted, the second check-up data related to the second boot step is examined to confirm the trustworthiness of the second boot step. If the check-up shows that the second check-up data related to the second boot step is trusted, the second boot step is executed after said first boot step.

摘要: A multi-service mobile station according to the invention comprises means (42) for connecting the device by radio to telecommunication network in order to utilize typical mobile station services, such as speech and data services. Additionally, the multi-service mobile station provides means (41, 40, 47) for using various information processing services (P1, P2), such as telefax service and electronic mail service. When using information processing services, the information processed by the user is automatically saved in the memory means (40, 47) of the multi-service mobile station when a certain criterium is met. The criteria are e.g. shifting from one service to another, going over to current saving mode, or, in a two-section multi-service terminal device, folding the device together. It is also characteristic of the multi-service mobile station according to the invention, that the automatic data storing and current saving methods operate in a close-knit cooperation with operating system, resulting in the longest possible battery operating time for the multi-service mobile station.

摘要: The scope of the present invention is an information transfer system and a mobile station (10) connected to it. In a system according to the invention a mobile station (10) is connected to a terminal device (40) e.g. through either a cable or an infrared connection, and the radio parts of the mobile station (10) are switched off. Through the terminal device (40), a local network, ATM-network (70, 81, 80, 82) and a network server (90) the mobile station (10) is connected over a wired network to a mobile communication switching center (100) or to a telephone network exchange (110, 130). When the connection from the mobile station (10) to a mobile communication switching center (100) or to a telephone network exchange (110, 130) is broken, the mobile station (10) establishes a connection to a mobile communication switching center (100) by radio in the normal way through a base station (105) and a base station controller (104).
