摘要: A process for the production of alkyl polyoxyethylenes showing improved low-temperature behavior, by reaction of alcohols with ethylene oxide at elevated temperature in the presence of basic alkali metal compounds as catalysts and subsequent neutralization of the alkaline catalyst with acids, which under prior art practice was impractical because of clogging of reaction vessels and equipment associated with precipitation of salts during neutralization, is made practical by adding a finely divided solid to serve as a precipitation control agent during neutralization. The finely divided solids used are, in particular, organic and/or inorganic materials known in the prior art as filter aids, such as kieselguhr and sawdust or other finely divided cellulose.

摘要: An apparatus system has a connection unit and a number of apparatuses which can be connected to the connection unit and can be operated as intended independently of one another and independently of the connection unit. Each apparatus has a system lead including a number of connecting cables connected to a system connector and the connection unit having plug devices for the system connectors for the purpose of connecting the apparatuses to the connection unit. All the electrical connecting cables required to operate an apparatus in each case are combined in the system lead of the apparatus.

摘要: A medical apparatus has an apparatus part which is provided for application against the body surface of a patient, and a patient support mechanism and a system for adjusting the apparatus part and the patient support mechanism relative to each other. The system simultaneously adjusts the apparatus part at a first adjustment speed in a first direction and the patient support mechanism at a second adjustment speed in a second direction, with the first and second adjustment speeds having a fixed constant relationship, so that the apparatus part and the patient support mechanism are caused to execute a motion in a third direction relative to each other. The third direction can be selected to compensate for dislocations of the body of the patient which are anticipated upon the application of the apparatus part to the patient's body surface, so that the patient remains as stationary as possible.

摘要: The invention relates to a sensor comprising a sensor element (1) for detecting a physical variable, said sensor comprising two electric contact surfaces (2), and comprising a sensor body (3), on one end of which the sensor element (1) and on the other end of which a contact carrier (4) is located, wherein the contact carrier (4) supports at least two insulation displacement contacts (5) suitable for producing an insulation displacement connection (6) to an electric connecting cable (7), wherein each contact surface (2) is connected to an insulation displacement contact (5). The invention also relates to a sensor assembly. The combination of the insulation displacement technology with the sensor makes it possible for the sensor and the cable tree of a motor vehicle, for example, to be contacted in a simple manner.

摘要: A medical apparatus has a patient support table with a seating surface and a mounting side, the apparatus having at least one apparatus part. At least one of the apparatus part or the patient support table (or the seating surface thereof) is adjustable relative to the other so that the apparatus part and the patient support table assume a mounting position wherein those regions of the apparatus part that have a distance of less than 100 cm from the seating surface measured in vertical direction, are spaced from the edge of the patient support table that limits the mounting side no closer than 40 cm measured horizontally and transversely relative to the edge.
