摘要： An image reading device includes a transport unit for transporting a document, a scanner for scanning image data of the document transported by the transport unit, and a controller for controlling the image reading device. The controller extracts a plurality of one-character areas included in the image data, recognizes character data of each of the extracted one-character areas, determines presence or absence of line noise based on a result of recognition of each of the one-character areas, and displays presence of the line noise on an operation panel when it is determined that there is the line noise.

摘要： An image scanning apparatus includes a transport roller transporting an original, a CCD scanning a first side of the original, a CIS scanning unit scanning a second side of the original, and a flap for reversing the original and sending the original to a transport path. A CPU controls the transport roller, the CCD and the CIS scanning unit to scan each side of the original. The CPU determines from the result of scanning whether or not each side of the original includes a predetermined pattern. When the CPU cannot identify from the result of scanning of the second side whether or not the second side includes a predetermined pattern, the CPU controls the flap and a transport unit to reverse the original and cause the CCD to scan the second side.

摘要： The image processing apparatus of the present invention includes: a specific pattern detecting unit which detects a background pattern representing additional information from inputted original document image data; an information detecting unit which extracts the additional information represented by the background pattern which is detected by the specific pattern detecting unit; an erase processing unit which erases a prescribed region of the original document image and outputs erase-processed document image data; a re-embedding background pattern generating unit which generates a re-embedding background pattern representing the additional information extracted by the information detecting unit; a background pattern composition processing unit which embeds the re-embedding background pattern into the erase-processed document image data and outputs re-embedded document image data; and a processor which controls the units mentioned above. The apparatus of the present invention is capable of embedding the background pattern again, which has once been lost through the erase function, so as to maintain a background pattern detection rate at a high level.

摘要： A shock absorber in which a flow of hydraulic oil caused by sliding movement of a piston in a cylinder is controlled by a pilot type main valve and a pilot valve to generate damping force. The valve-opening operation of the main valve is controlled by adjusting the pressure in a pilot chamber with the pilot valve. A valve block and a solenoid block are connected together into one unit and inserted into a casing before being secured with a nut. At this time, an actuating rod of the solenoid block is engaged with a pilot valve member retained by a pilot spring and a fail-safe spring in a cylindrical portion of a pilot body of the valve block.

A plurality of the sheet-like plates including an outermost layer of this laminated body comprises a flat portion substantially perpendicular to the magnet, and an extended portion bent to a direction substantially parallel to the magnet. A part of the sheet-like plate having the extended portion disposed to the outermost side is formed into a thickness smaller than thicknesses of the other parts.
