    摘要: The present invention provides an ink follower for an aqueous ballpoint pen having an ink reservoir for directly preserving an ink, and this ink follower comprises at least a gel-like material having a predominantly viscous response and comprising a less volatile solvent having a viscosity of 5 Pa.multidot.sec or less and a hydrophobic thickening agent, and a solid piece having a specific gravity of 0.80 to 1.10. In addition, the present invention provides a ballpoint pen using this ink follower.The ink follower of the present invention is characterized by using the gel-like material having a high flowability and the solid piece for dispersing and absorbing impact. This ink follower has a strong drop impact resistance, in contrast to a conventional gel-like ink control plug. The aqueous ballpoint pen using this ink follower does not lose its function, even when it is dropped from a shelf at a height of 1.5 m.

    摘要: A clicking-type ball point pen has a so-called double-clicking mechanism in which a clicking rod is projected by depression and is retracted by further depression. At least one undercut is formed in the inner surface of a rear barrel cylinder or a component fixed to the rear barrel cylinder to prevent a rotor and the clicking rod from being removed forward from the barrel cylinder. The barrel cylinder incorporates a writing element having a large diameter. A point assembly holder at the distal end of the barrel cylinder has a straight portion, which constantly urges a writing ball forward with a load of 1 g to 80 g, and an elastic portion having spring properties integrally, or in a contact state if the straight portion and the elastic portion are separate components. An ink present from the interior of the point assembly to a follower is defoamed such that a gas, e.g., air, water vapor, or a gas formed of a vaporized organic solvent, which is larger than 0.524 mm.sup.3 (a volume of a sphere having a diameter of 1.0 mm) is absent therein.

    摘要: A ball-point pen of the present invention is provided which includes: a ball-point pen refill being accommodated in the barrel cylinder and having: a tip with a tip ball held at the front end thereof; an ink reservoir which stores low-viscosity oily ink and has an ink follower provided in the rear end of the ink; and a joint disposed between the tip and the ink reservoir. The joint further includes: a valve chamber holding a ball valve in its inside and communicating with the rear end of the tip; and a ball valve seat disposed on the rear side of the valve chamber for the ball valve in order to prevent backward flow of ink. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a ball-point pen which, without need of any cap, can create dense writing traces free from blotting and unevenness even when a low viscosity oily ink is used.

    摘要: There is provided a ballpoint pen tip in which a shoulder of a bent portion does not touch a paper surface during writing and bleeding caused by deformation of an inner periphery of the bent portion can be prevented, and an ink refill using thereof. The ballpoint pen tip 20 comprises a first tapered surface 22 formed by tapering an outer periphery at a front end of a holder 21, a connecting surface 23 that is formed at a front end side of the first tapered surface 22 and has an outside angle larger than 180° with respect to the first tapered surface 22, a second tapered surface 24 that is formed at a front end side of the connecting surface 23 and has an outside angle smaller than 180° with respect to the connecting surface 23, and a bent portion 25 in which a front end portion of the second tapered surface 24 is bent inwardly so as to hold a writing ball 35 inserted into a ball house 29. A boundary between the first tapered surface 22 and the connecting surface 23 is referred to as a first shoulder portion 26, and a boundary between the second tapered surface 24 and the bent portion 25 a second shoulder portion 27. The second shoulder portion 27 is located inside a virtual tangent line 41 between the first shoulder portion 26 and the writing ball 35.
