摘要: New adsorbents comprising granules of a mixture of nitrohumic acid and oner more proteins. These adsorbents are utilizable effectively for adsorbing heavy metals and oils contained in water. They are produced advantageously by either a process wherein a mixture of nitrohumic acid and a protein is kneaded with an aqueous solution of alkali and the kneaded mixture is first subjected to an acid treatment and then shaped into granules, or a process wherein nitrohumic acid and a protein are dissolved in an aqueous solution of alkali, the solution is acidified to form a precipitate and then the precipitate is separated and shaped into granules. The granular products thus obtained can be further improved in mechanical strength by means of a heat treatment.

摘要: A process for removing heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions with an adbent comprising granules of a mixture of nitrohumic acid and at least one binder selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group-containing polymeric compound and a water-insoluble salt thereof. These heavy metal adsorbents are produced advantageously by either a process wherein a mixture of nitrohumic acid and a carboxyl group-containing polymeric compound is kneaded with an aqueous solution of alkali and the kneaded mixture is first subjected to an acid treatment and then shaped into granules, or a process wherein nitrohumic acid and a carboxyl group-containing polymeric compound are dissolved in an aqueous solution of alkali, the solution is acidified to form a precipitate and then the precipitate is separated and shaped into granules. 摘要: An oil adsorbent comprising natural fibers the surface of which is coated with a water-repellent paraffin layer which is in turn coated with an elastic rubber layer. The adsorbent is manufactured by treating the surface of the natural fibers with a paraffin emulsion, drying the fibers to form a water repellent paraffin layer thereon, treating the product with a latex, and then curing the latex to form an elastic rubber layer on the paraffin layer. The oil adsorbent has such advantages that it floats on the surface of water stably for a long period of time retaining its original form, that the contained paraffin is not back extracted by adsorbed oil and that it does not cause any trouble on burning.

摘要: A photodetector generates an electric signal by receiving a light signal which is obtained by coupling lights having propagated through an optical fiber sensing loop in clock-wise and counter clock-wise directions, and modulated in a phase modulator. The electric signal is detected in a synchronous detection circuit to generate a fundamental wave component of the phase modulation signal, a duplicate harmonic wave component, a quadruple harmonic wave component, and an orthogonal component which is obtained in accordance with a phase shift of the quadruple harmonic wave component by one quarter period.

摘要: A sterilization bag that is favorable for storing medical implements having sharp tips such as scalpels and forceps and can effectively suppress the occurrence of unwanted opening or damage due to contact with sharp tips is provided. The sterilization bag is formed by adhering the side edges and lower ends of a gas-permeable material and a synthetic resin film. The sterilization bag has, in its lower end portion or vicinity thereof, a damage-prevention means that prevents damage of at least one selected from the gas-permeable material, the synthetic resin film, and the adhered portion of a gas-permeable material and synthetic resin film by catching or receiving the tips of stored articles. Specific embodiments include a bag having a bulging portion obtained by mountain folding and valley folding a side surface film of synthetic resin in the lower end portion of the sterilization bag or vicinity thereof, and a bag with a laminated protective component made of synthetic resin film.

摘要: The wrapping film of the present invention has a sticky surface, convexities, and flat portions of film disposed between the convexities on at least one side, and comprises at least one agent selected from the group consisting of a surface active agent, an adhesive agent, and an oily agent. The wrapping film has a shear adhesion strength of at most 400 cN/25 cm2 when measured subsequent to bringing said sticky surface into contact with a glass surface having a surface roughness of from 0.7 to 1.5 nm under a pressure of 4 Pa, a shear adhesion strength of at least 700 cN/25 cm2 when measured subsequent to bringing said sticky surface into contact with said glass surface under a pressure of 4 kPa, and the ratio of the height of the convexities to the thickness of the flat portion ranges from 0.03 to 1.67. The wrapping film may also have a surface with a roughness and waviness (Ra′) of at least 40 nm as measured in a non-extended state, and an elongation at break of at least 10%.
