摘要: A sulfonated polyolefin porous membrane containing sulfonic groups in an amount, in terms of exchange capacity, of 0.05 to 1 milliequivalent per gram of the sulfonated polyolefin and having a porosity of 30 to 85% and an average pore diameter of 0.05 to 1.mu. has been found to be excellent in water permeability, removal capability, water-permeability retention, mechanical strength and elongation, etc. The porous membrane of the present invention may advantageously be employed as a fine microfilter or the like. The porous membrane of the present invention may be easily prepared by treating with a sulfonating agent a polyolefin porous membrane preferably containing an inorganic filler which is subsequently extracted from the membrane.

摘要: A porous membrane formed of a thermoplastic resin having a critical surface tension of not higher than 35 dyn/cm and having a three-dimensional network structure is provided. Communicating pores having a porosity of at least 60% and an average pore diameter of 0.1 to 2.0 microns are formed in the porous membrane. The strength factor F defined by the following formula is at least 1 as measured in any direction: F=A/[B(1-.alpha.)], wherein A is the tensile strength at break of the membrane, B is the tensile strength at break of a non-porous film formed of the same resin and .alpha. is the porosity fraction of the membrane. The thickness of the porous membrane is 5 to 500 microns. The porous membrane is prepared by a process wherein a porous membrane formed of a thermoplastic resin having a critical surface tension of not higher than 35 dyn/cm and having a three-dimensional network structure including communicating pores having an average pore diameter of 0.05 to 1 micron with a porosity of 30 to 70%, is subjected to a space drawing operation in at least one direction at a temperature between 50.degree. C. lower than the melting or softening point of the thermoplastic resin and 5.degree. C. lower than the melting or softening point of the thermoplastic resin.

摘要: A squib associated with a supplemental restraint system includes an igniting agent positioned above a first pin that is a connecting terminal providing a connection with a two-wire system bus wire, which is an external signal wire, and above a header that is provided with a second pin that is a connecting terminal. The squib also includes an IC substrate that controls communications and ignitions, and is positioned above the igniting agent, an ignition element between the igniting agent and the IC substrate, and joining portions provided in two locations bridging the igniting agent so as to connect the IC substrate with the first pin and the header. The IC substrate, the igniting agent, the pin, and the header are covered by a circular cylinder shaped cap whose top portion is closed off. Furthermore, these are formed integrally by being covered by a resin mold that is made to extend across the portions of the pins using a molding process. When the squib is operated it does not electrically affect the external signal wire.

摘要: A plurality of the ignition devices are connected to an ignition control system via a common bus. The ignition devices are selectively operable for actuating a plurality of airbag devices by means of electrical energy and an electrical signal supplied from the ignition control system. Each ignition device includes an ignition package formed integrally from a communication/ignition circuit and an ignition element provided on a silicon chip. Not only can the dimensions of the ignition device be reduced in comparison with a case in which the communication/ignition circuit and the ignition element are separately provided, but also wiring between the communication/ignition circuit and the ignition element can be completed beforehand when the ignition device is produced, thereby decreasing the number of wiring steps during assembly with the ignition control system.

摘要: An automatic purging method for an injection molding machine which is capable of injecting an arbitrary material among different kinds of materials into a mold without requiring a resin replacing block or a purging container and an additional material supply means for increasing the material supply pressure, and which has a nozzle valve in a nozzle unit. This method is used so as to enable the automatic purging to be done smoothly and speedily by operating the nozzle valve so that it behaves according to a predetermined program. This automatic purging method consists of the steps of supplying a fresh material from a hopper (7) into a screw cylinder (1), rotating a screw with a nozzle valve (4) closed, for a predetermined period of time or until the screw has been moved back a preset stroke, to plasticize the resin, and then purging the molten resin with the nozzle valve (4) set to a predetermined degree of opening.

摘要: A hydrostatic transmission for a vehicle having a closed loop hydraulic system hydraulically interconnecting a variable displacement hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor. The closed loop hydraulic system includes first and second conduits forming the closed loop. The first conduit is connected with a first relief valve having high and low setting pressure and the second conduit is connected with a second relief valve having high and low setting pressure. A hydraulic charge pump is connected with the closed loop hydraulic system through a charge conduit and a pilot-operated change over valve is disposed between the charge pump and the first and second relief valves in such a manner that when fluid pressure in the charge conduit exceeds a predetermined value fluid under pressure from the charge pump is introduced into the first and second relief valves to thereby change over the same to have high setting pressure and when the fluid pressure in the charge conduit becomes less than the predetermined value the first and second relief valves are connected with a tank to thereby change over the same to have low setting pressure.
