摘要: An automatic tuning apparatus, such as an automatic channel selector as incorporated in a television receiver, comprising a tuner using a voltage controlled variable capacitance diode such that the variable capacitance thereof constitutes a portion of a tuning circuit of the tuner for changing the tuning frequency, and a solid state electrochemical potential memory devices an output voltage of which is clamped as selected by selective manual operation, the resultant voltage being applied to the capacitance diode in a reverse direction, which memory device is controlled so as to be charged or discharged in response to selective manual operation until an increased or decreased terminal voltage thereof decreases or increases the capacitance across the diode and thus increases or decreases the tuning frequency of the tuner and a particular frequency is tuned. An intermediate frequency output, obtained as a result of tuning, is used to disable the abovementioned charging or discharging operation of the potential memory device.

摘要: In a waveguide 11 provided with a magnetron 12, a container 13 made of quartz glass and containing a porous body 14 is placed. The container 13 is connected to a water supply pipe 15, a steam delivery pipe 16 and a drain pipe 17. Pure water regulated at a preset flow rate by a flow control valve 18 drops on the upper face of the porous body 14, and infiltrates into the porous body 14. When the magnetron 12 sends out microwave radiation to the waveguide 11, the pure water contained in the porous body 14 is heated by the microwave, and instantaneously evaporates. The steam of pure water escapes from every surface of the porous body 14 and delivered through the steam delivery pipe 16. An appropriate control of the flow rate of the pure water by the flow control valve 18 and the output power of the magnetron 12 can make an appropriate control of the flow rate of the steam, so that all the pure water supplied to the porous body 14 is converted to steam.

摘要: A cooking apparatus includes a fan 13 provided at the top wall of a heating chamber 2 with its front face directed downwards. A spiral coil 14 in the form of a flat disc is provided around a rotation shaft 12 above the heating chamber 2. When high-frequency current is supplied to the coil 14, the coil 14 generates an alternating magnetic flux. The magnetic flux penetrates a shielding plate 16 and the fan 13, whereby the fan 13 is inductively heated. The fan 13 draws air from the heating chamber 2 and propels the air back to the heating chamber 2, where the air is heated when it contacts the fan 13. As a result, the temperature in the heating chamber rises, so that an object placed on a turntable 5 is cooked. By such a constitution, it is not necessary to keep additional space open for a heating element because the fan 13 functions as a heating element. Accordingly, it is possible to enlarge the diameter of the fan 13 so that the blowing efficiency is enhanced. Also, by this constitution, the number of parts is reduced and the structure is simplified.
