摘要： A color photographic light-sensitive element having (1) reduced fog, (2) low reduction in sensitivity and (3) good yellow dye image light fastness, and comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide photographic emulsion and optionally one or more non-light-sensitive subsidiary layers, wherein a blue-sensitive silver halide photographic emulsion layer and/or a non-light-sensitive layer adjacent thereto contains at least one asymmetrical hydroquinone compound selected from the group consisting of 2-methyl-5-tert-octylhydroquinone, 2-tert-butyl-5-tert- amylhydroquinone, 2-tert-butyl-5-tert-hexylhydroquinone, 2-methyl-5-tert-hexylhydroquinone, 2-methyl-5-tert-amylhydroquinone, 2-methyl-5-(1'-methylcyclohexyl)hydroquinone and precursors thereof wherein either or both hydroxyl groups are modified with an acyl group represented by the formulae: ##STR1## wherein R represents an alkyl group.

摘要： A method of spectrally sensitizing a photographic light-sensitive emulsion where a water-soluble solution, prepared by dissolving a methine dye having at least one water-soluble group in water in the presence of a "Red Shift Compound", as hereinafter defined, is added to a photographic light-sensitive emulsion to provide a photographic light-sensitive emulsion spectrally sensitized with increased sensitizing efficiency and with reduced fog. The disadvantages caused by the use of high organic solvent contents are avoided and photographic light-sensitive emulsions suitable for high-speed coating are obtained.

The sulfur-containing inhibitor is inactivated by addition of an oxidizing agent capable of reducing or eliminating the inhibitory activity of the sulfur-containing inhibitor. By the process, adverse influences of the sulfur-containing inhibitor upon chemical ripening or development can be excluded.

摘要： A silver halide emulsion and a process for producing the same are disclosed. In the process, at least one compound selected from hydrogen peroxide or an adduct or precursor thereof, a peroxy acid salt, and ozone is added to an emulsion in the step prior to the end of chemical ripening. The emulsion exhibits reduced fog, improved stability with time, and improved sensitivity.

The grain growth effect of the sulfur-containing silver halide solvent can be controlled at any necessary stage without accompanying substantial deterioration in photographic properties.
