    摘要: An electromagnetic coil which may be employed as an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The electromagnetic coil includes a lower voltage winding portion and a higher voltage winding portion. The lower voltage winding portion is wound around a spool and includes a plurality of winding layers overlapped with each other and inclined at a given angle to the length of the spool. Each of the winding layers includes a collection of turns made up of a leading portion of wire. The higher voltage winding portion is wound around the spool adjacent the lower voltage winding portion and includes a plurality of winding layers overlapped with each other and inclined at a given angle to the length of the spool. Each of the winding layers includes a collection of turns made up of a trailing portion of the wire.

    摘要: An electromagnetic coil which may be employed as an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine is disclosed.     摘要: An ignition coil for an internal combustion engine, having a seal between the ignition coil and a plug hole of the engine. An air passage is provided only on a head portion and a pipe portion of the ignition coil to permit air to pass. Pressure change in the plug hole can be equalized with the atmosphere through the air passage. Therefore, it becomes easy to make the seal and to attach the seal to the ignition coil because the seal does not have any air passage.

    摘要: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine which improves high-voltage sealing performance and moreover reduces housing outer diameter, an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine is made up of a transformer portion of cylindrical configuration housed within a housing chamber of a case, a control-circuit portion which is positioned on one end portion of this transformer portion and causes primary current of the transformer portion to be intermittent, and a connecting portion which is positioned on another end portion of the transformer portion and supplies secondary voltage of the transformer portion to a spark plug. The interior of the housing chamber is filled with insulating oil which has a flash point of 180.degree. C. or more, a total acid number of oxidation stability of 0.6 mgKOH/g or less, a pour point of -20.degree. C. or less with no cloudiness occurring before that temperature is reached, and a kinematic viscosity of not less than 20 cSt and not more than 180 cSt at 40.degree. C.

    摘要: There is provided a method for connecting an insulator coated wire with a conductive member while keeping the electrical resistance low and enough joint strength at the joint section therebetween without removing the coating film of the insulator coated wire beforehand. The conductive member has upper and lower pieces which pinch the insulator coated wire, and a gap between the upper and lower pieces varies at different locations. The wire and the conductive member have a good electrical connection at a region of the joint section where the gap between the upper and lower pieces is narrow. In addition, the connection strength of the wire and the conductive member can be enhanced at a region of the joint section where the gap between the upper and lower pieces is wide.
