A simulation model is used to predict a semiconductor device's response to a single event upset. The simulation model is connected to a model of the semiconductor device to be tested. The simulation model switches in an impedance path between a node to be tested in the semiconductor device model and an opposite voltage supply until a predefined amount of charge has been reached via sourcing (for a low to high voltage transition) or sinking (for a high to low voltage transition). When the predefined amount of charge has been reached, the impedance path is switched out. The switching of the impedance path approximates the charge movement that occurs from a heavy ion strike passing through a sensitive volume. By varying the predefined amount of charge, the semiconductor device's susceptibility to SEU can be predicted without having to resort to physical testing.

A ventilated toilet for removing odors from the toilet base includes a unitary molded tank assembly with an integral ventilation cavity formed along the base and the back inside of the water tank. At least one water channel connects a water inlet chamber of the base to the water tank and is configured to channel water into the base when released from the tank, as well as to provide an airflow conduit for odors present in the base to be removed from the base via the ventilation cavity. A flush valve extends through the ventilation cavity to connect the tank and the base, and is sealed in attachment to eliminate egress of odors. The system permits substantial elimination of odors at flush volumes of 1.6, 1.3 or 0.8 gallons per flush by virtue of the enhanced seals and unitary construction. A toilet tank assembly in accordance with the invention is also disclosed.

The secondary closure body is movable between a closed position and an open position to enable an operator to insert a tool through the port into the diversionary passage to manipulate the pipeline pig and release trapped pressure prior to opening the closure. The secondary closure body is secured to the primary closure body sealing the port when the secondary closure body is in the closed position.
