    摘要: One aspect of the invention is a method to vent gas from a body cavity during an endoscopic procedure. A body cavity is in fluid communication with an exhaust gas inlet of a vacuum break device. The vacuum break device has a chamber in fluid communication with both the inlet and an outlet. The chamber may comprise one or more openings in fluid communication with the atmosphere. A conduit in fluid communication with the exhaust gas outlet may be connected directly or indirectly to a suction source. The suction source may be activated.

    摘要: An inspection robot is provided to traverse the interior of a pipeline for the purpose of checking the coating at the interior surface of the pipeline at the weld seams. The robot is designed to determine the thickness of the coatings and to provide a visual and recordable reading thereof. The robot is provided with a holiday detector in the form of a conductive brush mounted on a rotatable hub and adapted to sweep against the weld seam so as to locate any voids in the coating by means of electrical conductance, thus causing a holiday marker to activate and mark the pipeline interior surface so that the site can be revisited for repair. The robot is further provided with a mil gauge probe mounted on a slidable plunger attached to the rotatable hub for measuring coating thickness on the weld seam and for providing data via a digital mil gauge readout; the conductive brush, the slidable plunger for mil gauge probe, the digital mil gauge readout, and the forward portion of the robot being all provided with cameras which simultaneously record the movements and data encountered by the inspection robot to provide real-time feedback to a remote operator.

The chamber is surrounded on one face by the HEPA filter, and by sound absorbing padding on at least 4 other faces.     摘要: A MIMO transmitter has a modulator (40,41,42, 120, 122) a demultiplexer 100 arranged to divide the information into one or more demux streams for transmission over different ones of the channels, and a diversity splitter (110) to derive one or more sub-streams of the same information. A decorrelator (120) such as a scrambler (150, 155) decorrelates the sub-streams before or after the modulation. The arrangement is configurable to vary in use a ratio of demultiplexing and of diversity splitting. This balances between the gains from diversity and spatial multiplexing, without needing major changes to the transmit and receive processing.

    摘要: An ectosealed toiletry dispensers which is applicable to toiletries, roll-on antiperspirants in particular, that are applied to the human axilla. A cap, an applicator such as a roll-on ball and a resilient sealing ring that seals between a shoulder of the container and an annular lip of the cap to provide an ectoseal. The sealing ring has sufficient durometer to conform to mold flashings as well as other molding irregularities. Securing the cap to the body with the ectoseal sandwiched between the container and the cap allows one to create a fluid tight seal that is maintainable under high pressure differential conditions to prevent liquid or air from escaping from the container.
