    摘要: A process for producing a hose having a connecting portion includes the steps of a connecting step, and a molding step. In the molding step, a dividable mold is employed in which a first sealing member and a second sealing member are retained so as to form a sealing ring. The sealing ring firmly retains a hose in the mold without pinching and damaging it. Further, the mating surfaces of the first sealing member and the second sealing member are disposed so as to deviate from the center of the sealing ring. Furthermore, a chucking member adapted for locally pressing the hose is disposed adjacent to the sealing ring. Moreover, a recessing portion communicating with the cavity of the mold by way of a narrow passage is formed and the first minimum pressure of the molding material, enabling to pass through the narrow passage, is set less than the sealing pressure exerted between the sealing ring and the hose and is set more than the second minimum pressure thereof, enabling to inhibit the short shot failures.

    摘要: A battery assembly includes single-battery cells, and thermally-conductive members. The thermally-conductive members are formed of a soft material as a plated configuration. The soft material exhibits thermal conductivity and electric insulatability. The single-battery cells, and the thermally-conductive members are adhered to each other, and are disposed one after another alternately in a row, thereby interposing the thermally-conducive members between the single-cell batteries. The thermally-conductive members include a radiation surface respectively from which heat that the single-battery cells produce radiates. The single-battery cells are cooled indirectly by cooling the radiation surfaces of the thermally-conductive members.

    摘要: A boot seal for variable compression-rate engine includes a boot-seal element, and a reinforcement member. The boot-seal element includes an inner layer, and an outer layer. The inner layer is disposed on the inner face of the boot-seal element, and is composed of a fluorinated rubber. The outer layer is disposed on a more outer side of the boot-seal element than is the inner layer. Moreover, the boot-seal element is formed in a circumferentially developed state so as to have circumferential ends, and is then completed by joining the circumferential ends with each other. Thus, the boot-seal element makes an elastically deformable cylindrical bellows shape having a root that dents inward diametrically. In addition, the reinforcement member is disposed in the root of the cylindrical bellows-shaped boot-seal element at least.

    摘要: A hose connecting assembly of the present invention ensures a tight seal even when a hose 30 is bent and laid out in a narrow space and repeatedly is subject to vibrations under a low-temperature condition. The hose connecting assembly includes a connection tube 10, which is pressed into the hose 30. The hose 30 is designed to have an inner diameter change rate Dc of no greater than 23% under application of an inner pressure of about 0.49 MPa. Ring-shaped projections 21, 22, and 23 are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the connection tube 10. The ring-shaped projections 21, 22, and 23 are designed to make a diameter expansion rate T, which is defined by an inner diameter d1 of the hose 30 and an outer diameter D2 of the ring-shaped projections 21, 22, and 23, at least 25%. A hollow cylindrical end 18 is further formed on an end portion of the connection tube 10. It is preferable that the hollow cylindrical end 18 has a length of at least about 3 mm.

    摘要: A branched hose connector includes a branched inner pipe substantially made from a suitable lightweight material, a plurality of hoses connected onto the branched inner pipe, a cover covering the branched inner pipe and a portion of the hoses to join the branched inner pipe and the hoses, and an integrally formed flange projecting outwardly. The branched hose connector is lightweight so that it can be installed with ease via the flange, and it can be manufactured easily and less expensively. Further, the branched hose connector can include a valve member, and a convexity and a concavity provided on opposing end surfaces of the branched inner pipe and the valve member. With these extra features, the valve member can be tightened into the branched inner pipe with a predetermined appropriate torque by a manual operation alone, and it can resist loosening by vibrations, or the like.
