摘要: The present invention provides a method for analyzing the C-terminal amino acid sequence of a peptide by applying reaction technique for successively releasing the C-terminal amino acids therefrom, which method can suppress, when releasing the C-terminal amino acids of the peptide in sequence, such as an undesirable side reaction as cleavage of peptide bond in the intermediate position of the peptide, and allows to carry out the chemical treatment thereof under widely applicable conditions. In the method according to the present invention, an alkanoic acid anhydride and a perfluoroalkanoic acid both of vapor phase, which are supplied from a mixture containing an alkanoic acid anhydride with a small amount of a perfluoroalkanoic acid added thereto, are allowed to act on a dry sample of the peptide to be examined in a dry atmosphere at a temperature chosen in a range of 15 to 60° C.; whereby the release of the C-terminal amino acid is resulted from successive formation of a 5-oxazolone structure being followed by cleavage of the 5-oxazolone ring; and then the C-terminal amino acids sequence is identified by analysis based on the decrease in molecular weight in a series of the reaction products obtained.

摘要: A bicycle gear crank assembly includes a crank having a boss portion fittable to a crank shaft, and a chainwheel mounted on the crank boss portion. The chainwheel includes a largest sprocket and at least one smaller sprocket coaxial with the largest sprocket. The crank boss portion is provided with backup arms located on the side of the largest sprocket laterally away from the smaller sprocket. The backup arms extend radially outward from the crank boss portion to contact the largest sprocket radially outwardly of the crank boss portion, so that the backup arms prevent the largest sprocket from laterally bending in a direction away from the smaller sprocket.

摘要: A balun in which the phase shift may be reduced significantly is disclosed. The balun has three lines, i.e. a first line b, a second line a and a third line c, arranged in parallel with the ground surface. The second line a and the third line c are arranged at the same height from the ground surface GC, the longitudinal length of each respective one of the first line b, second line a and third line c are specified to be equal to a quarter (¼) of the wavelength at the central frequency in the working band, and the capacitance Ca between the second line a and the ground surface GC is specified to be equal to the capacitance Cab between the second line a and the first line b. Furthermore, the distance h3 between the center of each respective one of the second line a and third line c in the height direction and the ground surface GC located closer to each respective one of the second line a and third line c is specified to be longer than the distance h2 between the center of the first line b in the height direction and the center of each respective one of the second line a and third line c in the height direction, or the permittivity of a dielectric D3 is specified to be less than that of a dielectric D2.
