    摘要: A bicycle brake lock device and a bicycle brake assembly comprising the same. The device comprises a separate lock means that can restrain a first and a second rotation link of a bicycle brake in a brake operating state to prevent the rotation thereof. Therefore, even without a separate lock device such as a lock, the lock means can simply operate in a lock mode to make the riding of a bicycle impossible, and thus can prevent the bicycle from being stolen. Also, a user can safely fix and restrain a bicycle through a lock means by carrying only a lock key without carrying a separate big and heavy lock device, and thus more conveniently use the bicycle. In particular, a bicycle can be prevented from being stolen even by use of a tool such as a cutter, and thus achieves an enhanced safety from the bicycle theft.

    摘要: An adjustable shoe mounting structure for bicycle brake device is disclosed. Users may use the first adjusting member of the adjusting assembly to be turned relative to the second adjusting member of the adjusting assembly. That is, the first adjusting member may be pulled inwardly to turn an angle. The first adjusting member uses the elasticity of the spring to move axially and the brake shoe may be adjusted the angle by matching convex teeth with different heights of the first adjusting member and the second adjusting member. It may achieve the efficiency of adjusting brake shoe. Also, it has simple structure and is easy to operate while adjusting.

A biasing member is operatively coupled to the first brake arm so that the first brake pad mounting portion is biased in a selected direction. A bias communicating member is operatively coupled between the first brake arm and the second brake arm to communicate biasing force from the biasing member to the second brake arm.

    摘要: A brake for bicycles includes a pair of levers each having a holding arm for a brake shoe. The first lever is articulated about a first pivot pin secured to the bicycle frame. A linking element is secured to the pivot pin and carries a second pivot pin parallel to the first pivot pin for articulating the second lever. A spring tends to hold the arms of the two levers apart and a device is provided for adjusting the spacing of the arms of the levers. This adjustment device includes a rocking member articulated about the second pivot pin and engaging one of the pair of levers and an adjustable threaded member on the other of the pair of levers.

    摘要: An eye bolt for a bicycle cantilever brake system is modified by the enlargement of the shoulders of the head, so that they no longer set within the contoured adjustment washer and the addition of a device to hold the brake shoe stud within the eye. Generally this device would include a threaded hole oriented transversely to the eye and a cooperative set screw. This combination allows the brake shoe stud to be held firmly in place in the eye shaft. With this configuration, the brake shoe may be replaced or adjusted without undoing the nut which retains the eye bolt, thereby allowing the firm retention of the contour adjustment washers during the operation.

Also provided is a brake actuating member connected to the mounting assembly which actuates the brake member. Still further, a locking member is provided adjacent the brake actuating member for locking the actuating member in position when the brake member is clamped to the wheel. The invention also discloses a structure for braking and clamping two wheels of a wheelchair with one brake actuating member.

    摘要: A caliper brake for a bicycle includes brake members formed as side-pull type caliper arms. The brake members are pivotally supported on a frame of the bicycle and support at ends thereof brake shoes. A pulley is rotatably provided on a free end of one of the brake members. A brake operating wire is connected to brake operating levers at handlebars of the bicycle. The brake operating wire consists of an inner wire and an outer wire. The inner wire extends about the pulley to form a brake operating force acting point of the one brake member by the pulley at which brake operating force acts on the one brake member. One end of the inner wire is connected to the other brake member, and one end of the outer wire is anchored to a free end of the other brake member to form a brake operating force acting point of the other brake member by the anchored point at which brake operating force acts on the other brake member. Operating radii between pivotal points of both the brake members and the brake operating force acting points are made as small as possible.

    摘要: An operating force transmission device for a brake which transmits an input operating force applied to a brake lever to operating members of the brake through a control cable formed of an inner wire disposed within an outer sheath and interconnecting the brake. The device includes a housing, a receiving member supported movably relative to the housing and adapted to retain thereto one of the inner wire and the outer sheath of the control cable. A control spring is provided for deflecting in response to a braking force output of the operating members of the brake in excess of a predetermined magnitude to enable the receiving member to move relative to the housing when the predetermined braking force output magnitude is exceeded. This reduces the magnitude of a further braking force output of the operating members of the brake with respect to the magnitude of the input operating force applied to the brake lever and transmitted to the operating members of the brake. An adjuster is provided to adjust the spring force of the control spring to change the predetermined braking force output magnitude at which the control spring deflects to enable the receiving member to move relative to the housing.
