摘要: A can body of surface treated steel plate, such as TFS, having adjacent longitudinally extending edges of tubular shaped member welded by irradiation of laser beam and provided with inside surface of welded seam having reliable paint retaining characteristic and free from projections, such as upset. For the purpose, welding is carried out such that inside and outside width of molten-solidified zone and structure changed zone will be maintained within a predetermined range and that metallic wire or elongated backing strip is located oppositely to lower surface of both edges being butt-welded.

摘要: An improved apparatus for producing welded metallic can bodies is provided. The apparatus has two roll-like revolving electrodes and an elongate electrode, and the lap portions of two can bodies are disposed respectively between the two revolving electrodes and the elongate electrode. An alternating current flowing through these lap portions is supplied by coupling the two revolving electrodes to an ac power supply, or by dividing the elongate electrode into two electrically insulated portions and coupling these portions to the power supply.

摘要: A device for feeding electric power to a roll-like revolving electrode in an electrical resistance welding machine includes a feeder rotor provided in a shaft formed integrally with a revolving electrode and a feeder plate extending in the moving direction of the revolving electrode and disposed in contact with the periphery of the feeder rotor. The periphery of the feeder rotor is electrically coupled to the electrode surface of the revolving electrode, and the feeder plate is connected to a power supply. Consequently, the electrode surface of the revolving electrode is electrically coupled to the power supply.

摘要: A container composed of a plurality of container materials the opposing parts of which are sealed by heat sealing, wherein at least an opening start part of the sealed portion is of a laminated structure consisting of the plurality of container materials and an intermediate material inserted therebetween. The intermediate material and one of the container materials are tightly sealed, and the intermediate material and another of the container materials are sealed easily peelably. The inside end edge of the easily peelable seal portion is positioned more toward the center of the container than the inside end edge of the tight seal portion. At an opening start position, the outside end edge of the easily peelable seal portion is positioned more toward the center of the container than the outside end edge of the tight seal portion, and the intermediate material is provided so as to jut outwwardly of a heat sealing flat portion of a container flange. The strength of peeling of this sealed container from its central side is high enough to withstand retorting or the like, and opening of the container from outside can be effected by hand accurately and stably.
