Abstract:
A hydraulic connector arrangement includes a shaft member, a banjo fitting, a pair of sealing members and a banjo fixing member. The shaft member has a hydraulic passageway and an opening that extends from the hydraulic passageway to an outer surface of the shaft member. The banjo fitting rotatably extends around the shaft member covering the opening. The pair of sealing members are disposed between the shaft member and the banjo member and on opposite sides of the opening. The banjo fixing member is coupled to the shaft member to retain the banjo fitting to the shaft member. Further, the banjo fixing member is dimensioned to allow rotation of the banjo relative to the shaft member and the banjo fixing member.
Abstract:
A method for producing crystals of pyromellitic dianhydride is disclosed which is characterized by setting the water content of an atmosphere used in handling the crystals of pyromellitic dianhydride at a temperature of not higher than 120° C. at a level of not more than 4 vol. %. Particularly by supplying an inert gas having a water content of not more than 4 vol. % to the step of production, it is made possible to prevent the conversion of pyromellitic dianhydride by hydration very efficiently.
Abstract:
A storing device is disclosed having a gas-sealing device and/or a heating device provided for a pipe connecting a storing tank for an easily polymerizable and/or coagulating liquid substance and a liquid sealing implement-protecting device. A method for the control of the pressure in the storing device is also disclosed. This invention contemplates protecting a storing device against deformation and fracture.
Abstract:
There is provided a turbo blower for lasers which is capable of effectively cooling a shaft and bearings thereof. Oil held in a shaft support member is drawn up via an oil inlet port by a centrifugal force generated by rotation of the shaft, and passes through a cooling oil passage extending through the shaft to be discharged from an oil outlet port provided below an upper one of rolling bearings as the bearings. The oil discharged from the outlet port returns via an oil return passage to an oil sump. While passing through the oil return passage, the oil is cooled by a coolant circulating through an coolant passage. Further, part of the oil discharged from the oil outlet port is supplied to the upper one of the bearings for lubrication. On the other hand, part of the oil held within the shaft support member is drawn up along a tapered portion of an oil suction head by the centrifugal force generated by rotation of the oil suction head for lubrication of a corresponding one of the rolling bearings. A large amount of oil flowing through the cooling oil passage can deprive the shaft and the rotor of heat, thereby effectively cooling the bearings as well.
Abstract:
A medical pump monitor system in which an infusion circuitry creation unit setting/changing the connection conditions of infusion lines from a plurality of medical pumps, and administration passes and/or administration positions for a patient is provided, and it is made possible to display infusion circuitry data created in the infusion circuitry creation unit on a monitor screen by operations by an operator of the medical pump monitor system. And, a real-time monitoring system performing real time communication with external apparatuses including one or more medical apparatuses, and controlling the external apparatuses and/or displaying the conditions of the external apparatuses, including a communication unit communicating with external apparatuses, a display unit displaying the conditions of the external apparatuses, storing unit storing one or more past communication data obtained by the communication unit, a comparison unit comparing currently communicated data with past data, and a control unit controlling contents to be displayed on the display unit based on signals from the comparison unit, in which the comparison unit reduces the amount of the data for the amount of signals to be sent to the control unit, in the case where the past data and the current data are identical to each other in comparison with the case where the past data and the current data are different from each other.
Abstract:
A parallel to serial data transfer system includes a CPU for continuously supplying parallel data of plural bytes, a buffer for storing the parallel data transferred from the CPU, a shift resister for loading the parallel data to be converted into serial data, and a selector. The buffer supplies an empty flag to the selector when no data is stored therein, so that the selector supplies a signal to the buffer and the shift resister in order to prohibit a load of parallel data from the buffer to the shift resister.
Abstract:
A turbo blower is used in combination with a gas laser oscillation device for machining, e.g., cutting off, workpieces. The turbo blower comprises a shaft (2) having an impeller (1) on one end thereof, a pair of bearings (5, 6) on which the shaft (2) is supported, and a motor (3, 4) for rotating the shaft. Heat radiating fins (11) are mounted on the shaft (2) for radiating the heat which is generated by a rotor (3) of the motor, thus preventing the heat from being transmitted to the bearings (5, 6). The heat radiating fins are forcibly cooled by a portion of a laser gas for thereby greatly increasing the heat radiation efficiency. The service life of the grease in the bearings and the bearings themselves is increased, thus reducing an expenditure of labor for grease replenishment and bearing replacement. The bearings are also increased in reliability.
Abstract:
An apparatus for a bicycle brake comprises a housing with a first piston bore and a second piston bore, a first piston disposed in the first piston bore, a first piston rod attached to the first piston and extending from the first piston toward the outside of the housing for coupling to a first brake arm, and a second piston disposed in the second piston bore. The first piston moves along a first piston axis, and the second piston moves along a second piston axis.
Abstract:
A device to mount a control lever to a bicycle handlebar includes a bracket, an expanding bolt, and a fixing member. The bracket is configured to be connected to the control lever and includes an inlet opening with a center axis, a first tapered portion extending along an axial direction, and at least one tapered outer serration formed on the first tapered portion. The expanding bolt includes a tubular portion and a second tapered portion extending along the axial direction. The tubular portion includes an outer threaded surface. The fixing member is disposed on the tubular portion of the expanding bolt. The first and second tapered portions are configured to operate so as to push the fixing member against an inner surface of the bicycle handlebar when the device is mounted to the bicycle handlebar.
