摘要: Disclosed is an information distribution system in which a receiving terminal installed in a mobile object can reliably receive high quality distribution information from the beginning. The information distribution system comprises data transmission units, each for transmitting a plurality of data signals including same distribution information using a plurality of different radio channels with sequentially delaying the transmission start time of the data signals; an auxiliary transmission unit for transmitting signals according to communication status of the data transmission units; a communication control unit for controlling the auxiliary transmission unit and the data transmission units; and detection means for detecting the velocity control information for the mobile object. A receiving terminal for receiving the data signals transmitted from the data transmission units is installed on the mobile object. The communication control unit selects a data transmission unit in a communication status according to the velocity control information out of the data transmission units, and controls the auxiliary transmission unit so as to notify the receiving terminal of the communication information corresponding thereto.

摘要: The irradiation device irradiates, at the time of recording main information, a first light beam having a first power and a second light beam having a second power on the pre-pits in a time-divisional manner. The light receiving device receives a reflected light of the first light beam from the pre-pits to produce a first light-receipt signal, and receives a reflected light of the second light beam from the pre-pits to produce a second light-receipt signal. The first detector detects the pre-pits based on the first light-receipt signal to produce a first detection signal, and the second detector detects the pre-pits based on the second light-receipt signal to produce a second detection signal. Then, the processor produces a logical sum of the first detection signal and the second detection signal to output a pre-pit detection signal. Therefore, the pre-pits can be correctly detected in both cases where the first light beam and the second light beam is irradiated, and all pre-pits on the storage medium may be detected to obtain the recording information.

摘要: A printer for executing recording onto media, including a head and a rotary encoder, wherein the head and the media are moved relatively. In the relative movement between the head and the media, the media may be moved relative to the immobile head, or the head may be moved relative to the immobile media. The rotary encoder outputs pulses corresponding to relative positions between the head and the media. The head starts recording onto the media based on the pulses output by the rotary encoder. When the pulses from the rotary encoder have not been output within a predetermined period of time, the printer starts recording onto the media based on a lapse of the predetermined period of time.

摘要: A thermal printing mechanism includes a head unit having a heating element; an energizing unit that energizes the heating element; and an energizing control unit that controls the energizing unit to energize the heating element for a total energization time set according to a color density of a pixel so that the higher the color density is, the longer the total energization time becomes. The energizing control unit divides the total time period into energization time units, based on printing speed; specifies energization time units for energization so that a sum thereof is equivalent to the total energization time; and performs control so that if the printing speed is lower than a first printing speed, the energization time units appear continuous, and if the printing speed is equal to or higher than the first printing speed, the energization time units do not appear continuous.

摘要: An apparatus for demodulating a phase modulation wave reduces an error rate of a demodulating circuit to perform a delay detection of an n-phase shift keying modulation wave without raising a clock frequency. When converting the received n-phase shift keying modulation wave into a rectangular wave, a waveform converting circuit for converting the n-phase shift keying modulation wave into a rectangular wave of a duty ratio which is larger or smaller than 50% is used. The rectangular wave is clocked through parallel registers of different lengths, outputs of the registers being operated on by exclusive-OR gates with the rectangular wave. Outputs of the gates are applied to respective one of a pair of counters, operated by a common clock signal, during periods of equality of outputs signals of the gates to provide a function of discriminating reproduction. A parallel/series converting circuit arranges upper bits and lower bits for reconstruction of each symbol of an original data message.

摘要: When printing is performed by dividing a thermal printer head into segmented blocks, the number of dots to be printed in one line is changed, depending on the case, high-speed printing with a small division number of the segmented blocks, or low-speed printing with a large division number of the segmented blocks. When the division number of the segmented blocks is large and printing is performed at a low speed, paper feeding within one line is performed by multiple pitches to prevent the paper sheet from halting in one line, and energization is performed for each pitch to prevent occurrence of gaps between dots and between lines, by increasing the number of dots to be printed in one line. In the multiple pitches in one line, the ratio of energization amount to be fed in each pitch is changed to reduce a difference in density among pitches in one line. Accordingly, when printing is performed by using segmented blocks of the thermal printer head, even though the division number of the segmented blocks is large and printing is performed at a low speed, printing without generating a gap between dots is possible.
