    Abstract: A method for producing a cutting tool, in particular a drill bit, is specified wherein the cutting tool has a front end (F) at the front and a rear end (R) toward the rear, wherein a tool tip is formed on the front end (F), a point thinning is ground at the tool tip with a grinding tool, the point thinning being ground to be narrower toward the front than toward the rear. The point thinning is ground with a constant point thinning angle (AW). Furthermore, a corresponding cutting tool is specified.

    Abstract: A method for producing a cutting head is specified. The latter is manufactured from a blank, which in turn is manufactured by means of extrusion. During extrusion, a number of coolant channels as well as a number of flutes are formed, wherein the coolant channels and the flutes are in each case formed helically during extrusion. After extrusion, the flutes have a pitch that is adjusted by grinding the flutes to a finished dimension. The method is particularly material-saving. A corresponding cutting head is moreover specified.

    Abstract: The modular carrier tool (2), in particular drilling tool, extends along a central longitudinal axis (4) in axial direction (6) and comprises a carrier (8) as well as a tool head (10) that can be reversibly mounted on the front-end of the carrier (8). The carrier (8) has a head retainer (14) for the insertion of the tool head (10) as well as clamping webs (24), which radially delimit the head retainer (14) and also have bearing surfaces (28). The tool head (10) comprises clamping surfaces (35) extending in axial direction as well as underhead bearing surfaces (34). In a mounted state the clamping webs (24) clamp the tool head (10) in radial direction to the clamping surfaces (35) and the underhead bearing surfaces (34) are pressed against the bearing surfaces (28). In order to generate a force component (K) acting in radial direction unto the clamping webs (24), the bearing surfaces (28) as well as the underhead bearing surfaces (34) are tilted in radial direction towards the central longitudinal axis (4) by a tilt angle α. This particularly supports the radially exerted clamping force of the elastic clamping webs (24).

    Abstract: The drill comprises a base body, which extends in the axial direction along an axis of rotation and rotates about the axis of rotation in a direction of rotation during operation. Into the base body are incorporated flutes and between consecutive flutes is formed a rear surface, which extends, in relation to the direction of rotation, from a leading flute to a trailing flute. On the rear surface in the region of the leading flute, a guide chamfer and a support chamfer spaced apart from it in the direction opposite the direction of rotation are formed, wherein the support chamfer, as radially outermost region, forms a support edge for a merely linear support.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a rotary tool, in particular a drill (2), which extends along a longitudinal axis (4), having an end face (6); a center (12); at least two main cutting edges (8), each of which extends from the center (12) outwards towards a cutting corner (10); a flute (20) associated with each main cutting edge (8), a flank on the end face (18), associated with each main cutting edge (8); a rake angle (γ) between the respective main cutting edge (8) and the flute (20); a ground face (26) which forms a point thinning (30) in the area of the center (12), extends into a radially outer area and defines the rake angle (γ) in the area of the main cutting edge (8). The rotary tool is characterized in that the rake angle (γ) formed by the ground face (26) is constant along the main cutting edge (8), and the flank (18) of the other main cutting edge (8) is formed by the ground face (26). An advantageous, excellent cutting behavior is thereby achieved along the main cutting edge (8). The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing the rotary tool, which is then especially simple to produce.
