    摘要: The data processing apparatus includes: a first storage medium having a relatively long activation time from an initial state until a first access is completed; a second storage medium having a relatively short activation time, and previously retaining image data; a reception module configured to receive a request to display the image data; and a processor configured to execute the first and second processes when the request to display is received in a power OFF state. The first process executed by the processor is a process of outputting the image data retained in the second storage medium. The second process is a process of starting activation of the first storage medium, and after activation of the first storage medium is completed so that the first storage medium becomes accessible, outputting data which is stored in the first storage medium or information which is generated based on the data.

    摘要: A lead-out area is recorded and a session is formed each time a file is recorded with the data structure of a disc recorded with the conventional CD-R multi-session method. The latest file structure recorded in the last session is read with a multi-session disc by reading in series the start address of the next session recorded in the lead-in area of each session. This information read in series is dependent upon the number of file write operations, and as the number of writes increases, the slower the latest file structure retrieval process becomes. In a write-once medium in which the file management information and unrecorded area information are update recorded at each recording session, chaining information is recorded at each file write. Furthermore, an area for recording a plurality of continuously recorded chaining information is reserved, and access in the latest chaining information retrieval process is accelerated. Furthermore, address information for an area contiguously reserved for chaining information is recorded in part of the chaining information.

The simultaneous recording and reproduction is guaranteed by reproducing data recorded in an area having at least a minimum size fulfilling the simultaneous recording and reproduction condition which allows for four access operations, recording data in an area having at least the same size, and performing reproduction and recording alternately by switching reproduction to recording when the data amount in the reproduction buffer becomes full and switching recording to reproduction when the data amount in the recording buffer becomes empty.
