    摘要: A method for producing a liquid crystal polyester according to the present invention is a method for producing a liquid crystal polyester, comprising subjecting a composition in which a dicarboxylic acid compound, a hydroxycarboxylic acid compound, and a dihydroxy compound are contained to melt polycondensation, and subjecting an obtained reaction product to solid phase polycondensation, wherein the composition contains, based on a total of the dicarboxylic acid compound, the hydroxycarboxylic acid compound, and the dihydroxy compound, 2 to 30 mole % of a dicarboxylic acid compound represented by the following formula (1), and 40 to 80 mole % of p-hydroxybenzoic acid, a polycondensation temperature of the above melt polycondensation is 315° C. or less, and a polycondensation temperature of the above solid phase polycondensation is 315° C. or less.

    摘要: A liquid crystal polyester resin composition includes, based on 100 parts by mass of a liquid crystal polyester, 15 to 60 parts by mass of talc having a number average particle size of 10 to 50 μm, 25 to 50 parts by mass of a glass fiber having a number average fiber length of 100 to 200 μm and a number average fiber diameter of 4 to 8 μm, and 2 to 10 parts by mass of carbon black, wherein a melt viscosity as determined at a shear rate of 100 sec−1 at 370° C. is 10 to 100 Pa·S and a deflection temperature under load is 220° C. or more. The liquid crystal polyester resin composition is used to provide a liquid crystal polyester resin composition for a camera module, having good heat resistance, rigidity, strength, and moldability, and also an excellent surface exfoliation property in a well balanced manner and being capable of being surface mounted (SMT).

    摘要: A wholly aromatic liquid crystal polyester resin composition for injection molding, formed by melt-kneading 100 parts by mass of a wholly aromatic liquid crystal polyester resin, and 5 to 20 parts by mass of glass fibers having a number average diameter of 5 to 20 μm and an aspect ratio of 5 or more, the wholly aromatic liquid crystal polyester resin being formed by polycondensation of 60 to 70 mol % of p-hydroxybenzoic acid, 40 to 30 mol % of terephthalic acid and 4,4′-dihydroxydiphenyl combined, and 0 to 5 mol % of isophthalic acid and/or terephthalic acid (for all of these, derivatives thereof are included, and the total of these is 100 mol %). This composition has excellent damping properties, and is suitable for a molding material of an optical pickup lens holder for short type pickups for use in high-speed DVD systems and playback pickups for use in Blu-ray systems.

    摘要: Disclosed is a resin composition produced by melt-kneading a white pigment and a wholly aromatic thermotropic liquid crystal polyester. The resin composition can retain the excellent heat resistance and moldability of the wholly aromatic thermotropic liquid crystal polyester and have a satisfactory level of white light reflectance. The resin composition comprises 35 to 100 parts by weight of a white pigment particle and 100 parts by weight of a wholly aromatic thermotropic liquid crystal polyester, wherein the white pigment particle comprises 3 to 15 mass % of aluminum oxide and 97 to 85 mass % of a white pigment produced by a process including a roasting step and having a surface treated with the aluminum oxide (provided that the sum total of the white pigment and aluminum oxide is defined as 100 mass %). The resin composition can be produced by a process including a melt-kneading step.
