    摘要: A WDM system includes a plurality of P to P WDM systems connected for wavelength-multiplexing optical signals of a plurality of wavelengths, transmitting them to a transmission path, transmitting wavelength-division multiplexed light while performing amplification by using optical AMP in the transmission path, and subjecting the wavelength-division multiplexed light to wavelength isolation at the reception side. An OSC which is a monitoring control signal such as a normal optical signal is used closely within one P to P WDM system. However, by transmitting and receiving the OSC between a plurality of P to P WDM systems, it is possible to solve a problem at the system rise. Moreover, since accumulative OSNR data is transmitted up to the P to P WDM system of the final stage, it is possible to detect an accurate OSNR value and a leak ASE light quantity at the end side.

    摘要: Conventionally, an adjustment of an optical power level of an input Pin of an optical amplifier module is made with an optical variable attenuator. An optical coupler for measuring the optical power level of Pin and an optical variable attenuator are replaced by a variable optical coupler. The branch ratio of the variable optical coupler is varied, whereby the input optical power level Pin to an optical amplifier module is adjusted. As a result, an optical loss is reduced by an amount corresponding to the elimination of the optical attenuator, and also the OSNR of the optical amplifier module is improved.

    摘要: The present invention is aimed at providing a low-cost optical transmission system of simple configuration, capable of achieving a satisfactory OSNR even in the time of transmission of a small number of wavelengths. To this end, the optical transmission system is provided with a noise elimination unit corresponding to each of optical amplifiers arranged on a transmission path. This noise elimination unit includes a transmission characteristic capable of selectively transmitting a light in a wavelength band in which a signal light exists through an amplification band of the optical amplifier, and includes a function of automatically eliminating a noise light in a wavelength band in which a signal light does not exist, of noise lights generated in the optical amplifiers.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an optical amplifier and, in particular, it relates to multistage optical amplification having a feature for compensating for the tilt that is generated when a signal having a plurality of optical wavelengths and the like according to a wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) method is amplified in a wide bandwidth. The multistage optical amplifier comprises: a plurality of optical amplifiers that are connected in a multistage manner; and a common control section for commonly controlling pumping light powers of said plurality of optical amplifiers, wherein said common control section includes: tilt detection means for detecting amounts of tilt of each of said plurality of optical amplifiers; and tilt cancellation means for controlling the pumping light powers of said plurality of optical amplifiers so that the amounts of tilt of each of the optical amplifiers detected by said tilt detection means cancel each other.

    摘要: Conventionally, an adjustment of an optical power level of an input Pin of an optical amplifier module is made with an optical variable attenuator. An optical coupler for measuring the optical power level of Pin and an optical variable attenuator are replaced by a variable optical coupler.     摘要: High-quality video is provided using a small amount of coded bits. The moving picture decoding method performs inter-frame prediction processing. With the aforementioned inter-frame prediction processing, blocks with similar motion vectors from among the motion vectors in multiple blocks that have already been decoded are combined and a combined area is computed. A predicted vector for a target block to be decoded is computed using the motion vector of the aforementioned combined area, and a motion vector for the aforementioned target block is computed based on the aforementioned predicted vector and a difference vector which is included in a coded stream that is input. A predicted image is generated using the aforementioned motion vector, and a difference image which is included in the aforementioned coded stream and the aforementioned predicted image are added to generate a decoded image.
