摘要： When a communication disruptant containing (Z)-11-tetradecen-1-yl acetate as the only active ingredient is continually used for a period of 5 to 10 years, a phenomenon has been observed in which its communication-disrupting effect on insect pests, particularly of the family Tortricidae, living in the field or the like through successive generations is reduced. Accordingly, it is eagerly desired to develop a new communication disruptant which is also effective for such fields where the communication-disrupting effect (on insect pests, particularly of the family Tortricidae, living there through successive generations) has been reduced. The present invention provides, for use in the control of insect pests having (Z)-11-tetradecen-1-yl acetate contained in their sex pheromone, a communication disruptant containing (Z)-11-tetradecen-1-yl acetate and the maximum component in the composition of the sex pheromone excepting (Z)-11-tetradecen-1-yl acetate, wherein the weight percentage of the maximum component in the communication disruptant is equal to a value obtained by multiplying the weight percentage of the maximum component in the sex pheromone by a number in the range of 2/100 to 50/100.

摘要： Provided is an attractant of white peach scale capable of simplifying the synthesis of a sex pheromone of white peach scale and suppressing attraction of a parasitoid wasp which is a natural enemy of the white peach scale. More specifically, provided is a sex attractant of white peach scale comprising at least (R,Z)-(+)-3,9-dimethyl-6-isopropenyl-3,9-decadienyl priopionate and a geometric isomer (R,E)-(+)-3,9-dimethyl-6-isopropenyl-3,9-decadienyl priopionate at a weight ratio ranging from 80:20 to 40:60. In addition, provided is a method for attracting white peach scale by using said attractant.

摘要： Provided are a mating disruptant having an improved mating disruption effect against pest insects. Specifically, provided is a mating disruptant for the control of pest insects whose natural sex pheromone composition is substantially free of an alcohol and comprises one or more acetates, the disruptant comprising the one or more acetates and an alcohol or alcohols which can be derived from the one or more acetate, wherein an amount of each of the alcohol or alcohols is from 0.5 to 10% by weight relative to an amount of each deriving acetate; and a mating disruption method using the mating disruptant. The alcohol which can be derived from the acetate is an alcohol obtainable by hydrolysis of the acetate and means an alcohol component of the ester derived from an acid and the alcohol.
