摘要: A flywheel (FW) includes a front cover as a first mass member (102), an inner plate as a second mass member (104), and a coiled spring as a damper member (106) which is interposed between the first and second mass members. A clutch or a clutch body (108) is disposed so as to be connectible with and disconnectible from the inner plate (104) by hydraulic pressures (P0, P1). The front cover (102) and the inner plate (104) are united through a friction plate as coupling means (110) by the hydraulic pressures (P0, P1) for connecting and disconnecting the clutch (108). Thus, the first and second mass members (102, 104) can be united by the simple construction of low cost. Furthermore the uniting operation, inclusive of its synchronization with the control of the clutch body (108), can be precisely controlled.

摘要: A one-way clutch mechanism suited to shorten its axial dimension and to prevent the production of a shock noise, in which a side clutch member (20 in FIG. 3) is interposed between a stator side member (18) disposed unitarily with a stator and a stationary-shaft side member (22) disposed unitarily with a stationary shaft, and in which the surfaces of the stator side member (18) and the side clutch member (20) confronting each other are respectively formed with oblique planes (18a, 20a), wherein only when the stator has received a turning force of specified direction from a fluid stream, the stator side member (18) and the side clutch member (20) are brought away from each other into the operational connection of the stator side member (18) and the stationary-shaft side member (22) by the cooperation of the oblique planes (18a, 20a).

摘要: The one-way clutch mechanism of a torque converter which has a short axial dimension, and which neither produces a shock noise (an abnormal sound) nor suffers a power loss in the idle mode thereof. An outer race (30 in FIG. 1 ) is united with a stator (18), and supports the stator (18) so as to be axially movable and rotatable with respect to a stationary shaft (16). The outer race (30) includes a first side face (32) which is formed with first teeth. An inner race (40) is united with the stationary shaft (16), and includes a second side face (42) opposite to the first side face (32). The second side face (42) is formed with second teeth which can prohibit the rotation of the outer race (30) in one direction, by meshing with the first teeth. The stator (18) and the outer race (30) receive the axial component force of a fluid stream which changes depending upon a speed ratio. Thus, the unitary structure (18, 30) comes near to or away from the inner race (40), thereby to engage or disengage the first teeth and the second teeth.

摘要: A clutch device with a cam mechanism is provided, which is free from drag loss when the phase is switched from a state wherein the cam mechanism is operative to a state wherein it is inoperative. A cam groove 1c and a recess 1d are formed on the inner surface 1a of a piston, and a cam groove 3c and a projection 3d to be inserted into the recess 1d are formed on the inner surface 3a of a pressure plate 3. Between the cam grooves 1c and the 3c is interposed a cam roller 2 loosely retained by a roller cage 4. When the hydraulic pressure is applied to the back surface 1b of the piston 1 while a C.sub.3 clutch disk 5 rotates faster than the piston 1, the cam mechanism is operative to carry out the engagement operation. On the contrary, when the application of the hydraulic pressure is interrupted while the C.sub.3 clutch disk 5 rotates slower than the piston 1, the engagement is released. Meanwhile, the riding of the cam roller 2 over the cam elements is avoidable by the recess 1d and the projection 3d.

摘要: A wet type clutch which has its piston moved by the difference of the pressure in two oil chambers at the two sides of the piston while shutting the communication between the two oil chambers with a friction member adhered to either of the piston or a front cover to be engaged by the piston. An annular groove for communicating with such one of the two oil chambers as will take a lower pressure when the clutch is applied is formed in the surface, to which the friction member is adhered, and/or the adhered surface of the friction member itself, to reduce the pressure acting to return the piston. A seal or high porosity material may also be used to reduce the oil pressure acting on the piston.

摘要: A frictional engagement device for engaging a pair of members relatively rotating around a common axis is improved to obtain a smooth action. A first frictional engaging element is fitted unrotatably and axially movably to one of the relatively rotating member. A second frictional engaging element is unrotatably and axially movably fitted to the other of the relatively rotating member and disposed engageable to the first frictional engaging element. A first cam member which is axially movably fitted to one of the relatively rotating member and disposed apart from the second frictional engaging element has a slanted cam surface. A second cam member which is disposed adjacent to the first cam member on a side of the second frictional engaging element has a slanted cam surface parallelly opposing the cam surface of the first cam member. A piston means which is fitted to the second cam member has a surface engageable with the second frictional engagement element. A spring seat is disposed, not touching the piston means, in a space formed between the piston means and the second cam member. A return spring for biasing the second cam member toward the first cam member is fixed to an unmovable member on one end and fitted the spring seat on the other end. A pushing means selectively pushes the piston means onto the second frictional element through the second cam member to cause a frictional engagement between the piston means and the second frictional element so that the piston member being rotationally dragged with the second cam member and generates a cam force to engage the first frictional engaging element and the second frictional element. A friction decreasing means disposed between the spring seat and the second cam member decreases the friction between the spring seat and the second cam member to prevent the return spring from being rotationally dragged by the second cam member when the second cam member is rotationally dragged.

摘要: This clutch device has a first cam mechanism and a second cam mechanism disposed on a relatively rotatable a pair of members. When the first cam mechanism is pushed by a piston to one of the pair of members rotating in a direction, the first cam mechanism generates a thrust force corresponding to an input torque and thereby the relatively rotating members are engaged. When the second cam mechanism is pushed by a piston to one of the pair of members rotating in a reverse direction, the second cam mechanism generates a thrust force corresponding to the pushing force of the piston, and thereby the relatively rotating members are engaged. A return spring giving a biasing force to separate the second cam member from the one of relatively rotating member is designed not to reduce the thrust force generated by the first cam member during the action of the first cam mechanism.

摘要: First target torque of an engine is set based on a driver's operation, a vehicle behavior, and a request for shifting gears of an automatic transmission. The engine is controlled such that the difference between the first target torque and the actual output torque of the engine is reduced. Detection torque is calculated from an operation state of the engine. In consideration of dead time in control of the engine, calculation torque is calculated from the first target torque. In addition, first lookahead torque with the dead time in the engine being removed is calculated by feedback-correcting the first target torque according to an error e between the detection torque and the calculation torque.
