摘要: A method and an arrangement for optimizing the luminance characteristic curve for a display system using a lookup table. Digitized video levels are supplied to this lookup table and are optimized using correction values stored in the lookup table. With suitable means, the luminance characteristic curve can be easily adapted to standards and/or custom specifications. The memory requirement is low, since it is not necessary to provide different lookup tables for different ambient luminosities or selected reproduction models (curves).

摘要: In one aspect an arrangement for data transmission between an image source and an image reproducing system is build, with digital R/G/B video signals being able to be fed to the image reproducing system via an R/G/B path pair in each instance and a communication signal. Measures are proposed which reduce the transmission time required to transmit large data volumes in a communication operating mode.

摘要: A method and a circuit arrangement for controlling the operating point of a cathode ray tube (3) for use in image technology applications. A video signal (1) is supplied to both the tube (3) and to a cathode ray tube model (2), which the model (2) uses to emulate a beam current. From the emulated beam current and a measured beam current, a characteristic quantity for adjusting the operating point is determined.

摘要: The invention pertains to a method for operating an image-processing device, in which an image signal is digitally transmitted between a transmitter and at least one receiver, and in which the image signal comprises a timed sequence of images. An alternating signal which alternates at a signal alternation frequency is superimposed on the image content of the images before they are transmitted, and the signal alternation frequency is greater than or equal to the perception frequency resolvable by the human eye. The invention also pertains to an image-processing device.

摘要: A method for adjusting the scanning frequency and/or the scanning phase of an analog/digital converter (3) of an image-reproducing device that has a digitally controlled display (1) for displaying an image of a predefined number of lines and a predefined number of pixels per line. The digitally controlled display receives digital image data from the analog/digital converter (3). The analog/digital converter generates the digital image data by scanning with a scanning signal that has the scanning frequency and the scanning phase of an analog video signal (6a). Therein, the analog video signal (6a) is applied to the image-reproducing device, and the digital image data is buffered in an image memory (2). The digital image data is compared with predefined data that correspond to the analog video signal, and the scanning frequency is adjusted until a comparison of the data provides a sufficient match. An associated device has an image generator (6) for generating the analog video signal (6a) and a memory (5) for storing the predefined data for comparison with the digital image data.

摘要: A backlighting system for liquid crystal displays includes one or more first lighting structure (130, 230), which has a defined radiant flux with spectral color components at one operating point. The radiant flux output from the first lighting structure (130, 230) exits across a radiant surface (A) of the backlighting system and thus provides a defined luminous flux with spectral color components on a liquid crystal glass (10) that can be arranged in front of this radiant surface (A). Also, the backlighting system has one or more additional lighting structure (140, 240, 340). The radiant flux of the additional lighting structure varies. This additional lighting structure (140, 240, 340) is arranged such that the spectral color components of the luminous flux change when the radiant flux of the additional lighting structure (140, 240, 340) is changed. The liquid crystal display is used for controlling and monitoring in an automation system.
