    摘要： A distributed information processing system which includes a server having a resume-request processor and clients having resume-request units or processor. An user at the client site operates a resume switch to save an operation state of the client in the server's magnetic disc, and resume it from the server's magnetic disc. The operation state includes contents of the main memory, contents of the display memory, values of the I/O registers for peripheral devices, and information about the file of the server being used by the application program run by the user. The user is able to use any client of the system in the same situation including a connection state between the file and the application program as before.

Besides, in a case where the request for the authentication of the validity of a certificate has been made by an end entity EE, whether or not a path associated with the terminal admitting certification authority CA which admits the end entity, and a path associated with the terminal admitting certification authority CA which has issued the certificate being a subject for the request are registered in the path database is checked, and the subject certificate is judged valid only when both the paths are registered.

    摘要： A network managing method which divides a network to be managed into a plurality of virtual closed area networks, and defines management information on the virtual closed area networks separately in a plurality of logical hierarchies. A virtual LAN/network space defines a connection state among closed area networks, a closed area space defines attribute information on nodes within a closed area network, and a virtual service defines logical arrangement information on nodes in the overall network. The management information is distributively stored in each node and utilized for MAC control. When the configuration of the network is changed due to movements of nodes, an administrator inputs the contents of the change from the manager of each layer, so that the manager communicates with a node containing corresponding management information to instruct the node to update management information.

    摘要： This invention relates to a method of manufacturing an ultrasonic transducer. First, a plurality of printed boards in each of which a plurality of leads are formed in a line are stacked. The end portions of the leads protrude from each printed board. These lead end portions are inserted into a plurality of lead holes of an alignment jig. The plurality of printed boards are buried in the back surface of this alignment jig, and a backing layer is formed by resin molding. After that, the alignment jig is removed from the surface of the backing layer, and the surface of the backing layer is flattened. Since the end portions of the leads are exposed to this flattened surface of the backing layer, discrete electrodes formed on the back surfaces of transducer elements are electrically connected to these lead end portions. The accuracy of lead arrangement is thus improved by the use of the alignment jig. This reduces alignment errors of leads with respect to the discrete electrodes of the transducer elements.
