The terminal reel cart supports the reels of terminals and the terminal applicators. The reel cart includes a plurality of wheels that allow the cart to be easily moved throughout a processing facility. The reel cart includes a pair of paper take up reels that are each driven by a motor and collects the paper backing from the strip of terminals. The paper take up reels are driven by a drive motor on the wire processing system.

    摘要: A head gimbal assembly has a laminate flexure that includes a metallic conductive layer that includes a plurality of electrically conductive traces that are elongated and narrow and electrically connected to the read head, and a metallic structural layer that is stiffer than the conductive layer. A first dielectric layer is disposed between the structural layer and the conductive layer. A second dielectric layer substantially covers the conductive layer in a flexure tail bonding region that overlaps a flexible printed circuit (FPC). The structural layer includes a plurality of flexure bond pads that are aligned with, facing, and bonded to corresponding FPC bond pads. The flexure bond pads in the structural layer are electrically connected to the electrically conductive traces in the conductive layer by vias through the first dielectric layer. In certain embodiments, the flexure tail is folded upon itself in the flexure tail bonding region.

    摘要: A device for preventing damage to a pivot bearing assembly during manufacture of a hard disk drive includes a first bottom voice coil motor (VCM) plate hold-down clamp configured to clamp down on a first exposed surface of a bottom VCM plate of the hard disk drive and a second bottom VCM plate hold-down clamp configured to clamp down on a second exposed surface of the bottom VCM plate. The first and second bottom VCM plate hold-down clamps are configured to prevent damage to the pivot bearing assembly during installation of the top VCM plate over the bottom VCM plate by clamping down on the bottom VCM plate with a force that is at least sufficient to prevent the bottom VCM plate from moving when the top VCM plate is installed over the bottom VCM plate.

    摘要: A method is provided for making a transformer core assembly using a work table positioned proximate to a rotatable rack assembly having first and second racks. Core segments are created by a segment forming machine. The core segments are transferred to a core block of the second rack. After a predetermined number of core segments are stacked on the core block to form a core segment assembly, the rack assembly is rotated so that the second rack is positioned proximate to the work table. The second rack is then moved onto the work table and one or more finishing steps are performed on the core segment assembly. During the performance of the one or more finishing steps, core segments may be transferred to a core block attached to the first rack.
