Abstract:
In the case of a narrow band in which the number of sub-carriers to be used for the concurrent transmission is smaller than a predetermined value, an RSRP estimation unit carries out processes in an order of time-wise in-phase addition, frequency-wise averaging, and conjugate multiplication, with respect to the channel estimation values estimated by the channel estimation unit; and in the case of a wide band in which the number of sub-carriers to be used for the concurrent transmission is greater than the predetermined value, the RSRP estimation unit carries out processes in an order of frequency-wise averaging, conjugate multiplication, and time-wise in-phase addition, with respect to the channel estimation values estimated by the channel estimation unit.
Abstract:
In an impeller 11, an inlet portion and an outlet portion are provided at one end side and the other end side in the axial direction, respectively. An inlet 29 is formed in the lower part of the inlet portion, and an outlet is formed in the side face of the outlet portion. The inlet portion and the outlet portion are partitioned by a flange portion 40. The impeller 11 includes a primary vane 36 and a secondary vane 38. The primary vane 36 defines a spiral primary channel 35 that connects the inlet 29 and the outlet. The secondary vane 38 is formed in a shape that a part of the outer periphery of the outlet portion is gouged inward so as to define a secondary channel 37 connected to the primary channel 35 and extending circumferentially around the outer periphery.
Abstract:
According to the present invention, there is provided a covering composition for optical fiber comprising (A) an unsaturated polyester oligomer having substantially two or more (meth)acryloyl group in a molecule wherein a glass transition temperature of a cured substance thereof is 100 to 350° C.; (B) at least one oligomer selected from the group consisting of the following components: (B-a) epoxy modified (meth)acrylate oligomer, (B-b) polyether polyol modified (meth)acrylate oligomer, and (B-c) urethane polyether polyol modified (meth)acrylate or urethane polyester polyol modified (meth)acrylate; and (C) a photopolymerization initiator, as essential components. The cured material has highly elasticity and is superior in the heat stability, and as a result, the present invention provides the superior covered optical fiber with well balanced heat stability of the optical transmission properties and flexibility.
Abstract:
A method of fire extinguishment with a gas, characterized by extinguishing a fire by ejecting at least one gaseous fire-extinguishing agent selected from the group consisting of argon, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide using a foam, powder, or water as a carrier.
Abstract:
An improved X-ray analyzer may be made portable and provide accurate positioning capabilities to permit precise location on a sample of a measurement point. An imaging device is provided to allow the user to observe a position at which primary X-rays generated by an X-ray source are to be irradiated onto the sample, and a display device is provided for displaying an image thereof. The display device displays a fluorescent X-ray spectrum taken at a measurement point on the sample in accordance with an output of an X-ray detector at the same time as displaying the sample image.
Abstract:
The present invention provides dihydropyridine derivatives represented by the following formula (I) ##STR1## and salts thereof. They have extremely strong, slow and long-acting vasodilating action and antihypertensive action with less adverse effects so that they are useful as therapeutic agents for cardiovascular diseases.

Abstract:
An adhesion preventive for preventing adhesion between vital tissues is provided. The present adhesion preventive is a molded material consisting essentially of a biodegradable and absorbable polymer. It has an advantage of requiring no reoperation for its removal since it would be degraded and absorbed after completing its function in vivo.
Abstract:
A disc brake including a stationary member secured to a non-rotatable part of a vehicle, and a friction pad disposed on each side of a rotatable disc. There is provided a wear warning piece one end of which is secured to the stationary member and the other end of which extends between the disc and a backing plate of the friction pad by a predetermined distance.
Abstract:
A floating caliper type disc brake including a caliper being slidably supported on a stationary member, a resilient member interposed between a sliding portion of the caliper and the stationary member, the caliper having a bridge portion extending over a portion of the circumference of a disc and a pawl portion rigidly connected to the bridge portion for acting on one of friction pads, and a pad spring interposed between the bridge portion of the caliper and friction pads. The improvement comprises in that a projection is formed on backing plate of the one friction pad, and a retaining portion is formed in the pawl portion of the caliper for engaging with the projection of the friction pad thereby receiving the biassing force of the pad spring.
