摘要: This invention relates to a transaction processing system including a host computer (1), a transaction device (2), a first customer card (3) and a second customer card (4). The first card (3) and the second card (4) directly transfer information representing monetary values between them on the basis of signals verifying a transaction processing received from the host computer (1) through the transaction device (2). When the information representing the monetary values are exchanged between the first card (3) and the second card (4), the host computer (1) updates the balance of the account stored in the host computer (1).

摘要: A transaction system includes a card-shaped electronic bankbook and a transaction device. The electronic bankbook includes an IC chip encapsulated in an insulating card substrate and composed of a CPU and data memories display, a key switch including keys for instructing transaction data items and switching display data, a power supply, and an interface for receiving or delivering a signal on transactions from or to a transaction device. The system has a crime prevention function where transactions are made invalid if identification information on the electronic bankbook is erronesouly entered in repetition over the prescribed number of times into the transactin system of the electronic bankbook.

摘要: An optical sensor unit for detecting a predetermined object to be detected comprises an optical element, a connector for connection to a wiring cable of an external equipment, and a printed circuit board having a predetermined printed wiring thereon for connecting the optical element to the connector while the optical element is completely sealed by the printed circuit board at the lower end thereof and by the case at the upper portion and sides thereof whereby reduction of quantity of the light emitted from the optical element due to collection of dust can be prevented and whereby the attachment and detachment operations of the optical sensor unit can be effected with ease.

摘要: A cash dispenser operated by a customer to feed bills out of a safe, then stack the bills in a temporary-stacking section, and presents the bills together with a slip which is printed with particulars of an account to the customer. The temporary-stacking section includes a first stage for stacking the bills and a second stage located above the first stage for receiving the slip. The printed slip is transferred to the second stage from one side of and at an angle of substantially 90 degrees relative to the second stage by a transferring section. A bundle transporting section includes lower transport belts interposed between a bill outlet of the dispenser and the temporary-stacking section, and upper transport belts movable in a rotational motion relative to the lower transport belts. The bills and slip are piled up on the temporary-stacking section and then driven toward the bill outlet of the dispenser by the upper and lower transport belts. The slip is fed from a printing unit directly onto the top of bills which are piled up in a horizontal position in the same manner as during the transfer.

摘要: A cash dispenser for dispensing bills in response to a customer's operation includes a bill outlet for presenting bills to a customer, and a safe removably mounted on the cash dispenser and loaded with bills to be dispensed. Feeding and transporting paths feed bills from the safe and transport them to the bill outlet. The safe includes a single casing in which a plurality of storing sections are defined. The storing sections are disposed at substantially the same level as each other and store bills individually. The feeding and transporting paths include a plurality of feeding devices each being associated with a respective one of the storing sections for feeding the bills one by one from the storing sections. The feeding and transporting paths further include transport belts for transporting the bills fed outo the bill outlet and a sensor for sensing the conditions of bills.

摘要: An apparatus for handling strips of paper removably incorporated in paper strip handling equipment. 摘要: In an apparatus for processing embossed characters on an embossed card, a sensing head has sensing wires extending generally parallel with each other in a first direction, the tips of the sensing wires disposed at different positions along a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The sensing wires are repeatedly actuated toward their tips. Advancement of each sensing wire exceeding a predetermined distance is detected and electrical signals indicating the results of detection are produced. The embossed card is moved relative to the sensing head in a third direction orthogonal to the first and second directions, with the surface of the embossed card held parallel with the second and third directions, and close to the tips of the sensing wires. The sensing wire is repeatedly actuated toward the embossed card so that the tip of each sensing wire hits or does not hit the surface of the embossed card before exceeding the predetermined distance depending on whether or not the sensing wire is confronting an embossment or not.

摘要: A printer includes a first paper feed passage extending from the rear of a platen to a printing position through the lower part of the platen, and a second paper feed passage extending from substantially just under the printing position to the printing position. A first pinch roller is disposed on the way to the first paper feed passage for pressing a first paper against the platen. The first paper is fed by rotating the platen. A second pinch roller is disposed on the way to the second paper feed passage for pressing the second paper against the platen. Rotation of the platen causes the second paper to be fed. In addition, a paper insertion device includes a flat part for placing a paper thereon and a slit for converting the advance direction of a paper from horizontal to vertical. With the second paper placed on the flat part and inserted into the printer, the paper is directed upwardly by a curved surface defining the slit and is allowed to enter the second paper feed passage with ease for further advance.
