摘要: A liquid crystal display includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer between the substrates and including liquid crystal molecules, a first pixel electrode, and a second pixel electrode. The pixel electrodes each include a stem at an edge of a pixel area, and a plurality of branches extended from the stem. The branches of the pixel electrodes are alternately disposed. The liquid crystal display further includes a first region including a first interval between the branches of the first pixel electrode and adjacent branches of the second pixel electrode, and a second region including a second interval between the branches of the first pixel electrode and the adjacent branches of the second pixel electrode which is smaller than the first interval. The first region is where the stems of the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode are not disposed.

摘要: A gate driving circuit includes N stages (where N is a natural number greater than or equal to 2). The N stages are cascaded, and each of the N stages has a gate line connected thereto. A first stage group includes k stages of the N stages (where k is a natural number less than N), and the first stage group outputs a first output signal in response to a start signal. A second stage group (including N−k stages) generates a second output signal in response to the first output signal and outputs the second output signal to a corresponding gate line. The first stage group includes a first buffer and a second buffer, each of which receives the start signal. A size of the first buffer is smaller than a size of the second buffer.

摘要: A washing machine and a washing control method of the same capable of controlling a degree of application of the machine force at every temperature step according to the selected washing course based on information, such as the amount of load detected in the beginning of washing and the amount of wash water detected by the rise change of the wash water temperature during washing, thereby reducing damage to laundry during washing and accomplishing optimal washing efficiency. The washing control method includes detecting wash water temperature and controlling a motor operation rate or a washing time based on the detected wash water temperature.

摘要: A liquid crystal display includes a display panel having a plurality of pixels. The display panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate opposing each other. A liquid crystal layer is positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate. A pixel electrode is positioned on the first substrate and positioned in one pixel of the plurality of pixels. An opposing electrode faces the pixel electrode with the liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween. At least one of the pixel electrode and the opposing electrode includes a liquid crystal inclination direction determining member. A transmission region of the pixel includes a first region and a second region that have different cell gaps of the liquid crystal layer from each other and extension directions of the liquid crystal inclination direction determining member in the first region and the second region are different from each other.
