摘要： A nozzle plate to be mounted on an ink jet print head includes a plate body on which is formed a plurality of jet aperture portions from which ink is jetted and a water-repellant film formed on this plate body. The diameter of jet aperture portions formed on the plate body and the diameter of water-repellant film apertures formed on the water-repellant film so as to connect with the nozzle apertures are the same diameter R3, so the ink jet flow can be accurately controlled.

摘要： The ink jet printer includes a pressure chamber plate having a plurality of pressure chambers 20 separated by bulkheads, and a piezoelectric member having drive sections arranged opposite to the pressure chambers via a vibrating plate. The drive sections are separated from each other by parallel extending grooves. The piezoelectric member has inner electrodes 32 embedded therein and exposed to the side surfaces of the drive sections. The exposed portions of the inner electrodes are covered by insulating members, so that no short circuit is caused between the inner electrodes provided in the piezoelectric member.

摘要： The present invention has an object to provide an inkjet head and a method for manufacturing the inkjet head which not only protects a member at and/or near a surface onto which the nozzle plate is connected (nozzle connection surface), but also shortens the manufacturing time. A protective layer is provided between the nozzle plate and the piezo-electric element, enabling only the protective layer to be polished, protecting the piezo-electric element from being damaged by the polishing when the nozzle connection surface is formed. After the inkjet head is completed, the protective layer prevents ink leakage to the piezo-electric element.

摘要： An image forming apparatus having a developing unit for developing a latent image electrostatically formed on a photoconductive element or similar image carrier by a developer, or toner, to produce a toner image, and a cartridge removably mounted on the apparatus for supplying a toner thereto. A door forms a part of a housing portion of the apparatus body and is provided with an opening for loading and unloading a supply and an openable lid for covering and uncovering the opening. Even when the lid is opened, the operation of the apparatus is not interrupted. Simple and safe replacement of a supply is insured and, yet, a supply is prevented from contaminating the apparatus when loaded and unloaded.
